Excellent camera quality! The close up shot in the beginning revealed so much about the process because of the camera quality.

Love all the changes you have made to your branding items. The lively cards on a line, etc. This new look is terrific.

Great video Lisa! 😆 The eye in the dead leaf seems to be watching you back. 😉 How can you not bring home a sparkling droopy tree? Hubby just needs to go back and get it...there is always room! lol

Thank you for the video. I work with Pastel pencils and the layering is the same, lots of it to get that lifelike look. I had to replay the video a few times because I could not catch what you were saying, as at times you talk extremely fast. Your work is gorgeous. 😁

How did you make the background? Do you have any video of how you did it?

How is it possible that everything blends out smoothly but stays on its place? (for example those brown veins remain basicaly untouched). When I try to blend with mineral spirit, all colors end up mixed together. I feel I have almost no control over the color when blending :(

I have a question mainly pertaining to when you work with colored pencil in with the powdered blender. In your most recent powder blender color pencil video you said you could spray your texture fixative is over each layer to avoid lifting color from the previous layer. my question is can that method be applied with blending colored pencil with paint thinner. For example if I blended a couple layers of color pencil with paint thinner and then sprayed it with workable fixative will that keep that layer from lifting off when I blend another layer?

How do you get the initial sketch down before shading/colouring? Do you just trial and error until it looks right, or do you use a grid method or trace? Personally I don't like tracing, I've started using grid and it's ok, I struggle with just seeing and copying as my proportions go all over the place

is your final layer just pencil or do you use the blender on the final product?

Lovely work. I really appreciate sharing your techniques with us. The grainy unfinished look was very frustrating to me, even with lots and lots of layering. Can't wait to try this out. I do have a question though. I'm an art student and they want us working exclusively with Prismacolor. Is this achievable with Prismas? I know they tend to be softer than other pencils.

the paint thinner does the same effect as baby oil?
@Lachri8 жыл бұрын
No, baby oil doesn't ever dry quite right. It's not something I recommend for fine art.

Is using normal store bought turpentine alright to use as well? Or does it damage the pencil because I have the luminance and don't want to wreck them! :)

This is so lovely! All those details*-* I recently got some touch-up texture and titanium white and I love it! Now all I need is a proper liner brush lol Also, I think your description is wrong. It says something about a lion, earth and moon :)

Nice!!!! I really love your hummingbirds portrait. Yeah, colored pencil takes so long. :/ I agree. It makes me wanna charge more for CP commission than oil despite being told oil portraits are more money than anything.
