When my husband was a young boy, he bought that 10 cent Joe Weider muscle building book. He thinks he still has it! By the way, my husband did indeed become a body builder and in the '70's won Mr. Indiana for his weight class. He is still a body builder although does not compete at the age of 68. He isn't your usual 68 yr old. I remember things being flocked. Eventually, it kind of disintegrated and fell off. I am picturing small piles if disintegrated flocking in parking spots! LOL. Back in the day, my Aunt Wanda had all pink kitchen appliances. I loved it and thought she was the coolest. Just for the record, the measure of a man is not his height or voice- but, his character. ; )

Love you & so enjoy your channel. My grandma had those pink washer & dryer. They purchased them in the 50s & they worked excellent until 1989. The washer went first & my grandpa tried to fix it but he just couldn’t find the part he needed. The dryer lasted another 10 years ( no lie). My grandpa fixed the dryer but it didn’t work but for a short time after that. They finally bought another set & they were the same brand, Whirlpool, from Sears, of course. They always bought everything from Sears. I miss them & that washer & dryer. 🙂

Hi Laci, I love your videos. Something that really is so important about your videos is the way you end them. I love that you want us to "feel safe and feel loved." What could be more important than that? Thank you so much! I also love all your cool vintage things and lifestyle. I want some swing vases, several in each color so I can set up a rainbow near a window after our house is build and I admire your Pyrex collection. I am a Jadite Junkie and have lots of Jadite. As soon as we move into the house we are now building, I am going to start collecting pink Pyrex and colorful swing vases. I would also love a Kuba Komet TV and high-fi system. (My partner is an electrical engineer, so I think he could set up a new TV in the Kuba Komet face.) I absolutely love your home, your style and everything about your channel. As soon as our house is built we will decorate the first floor in Craftsman and Frank Lloyd Wright type furniture and decorations, the house is based on vintage Craftsman and Prairie Style houses and the Walk-Our Basement will be all Mid-Century- Modern decoration. I'm not buying things for the new house yet, there will be too many things to move the way we already have the house w live in (an old Chicago Style bungalow) but we are really looking forward to taking tips from you and some other vintage divas and doing our thing! I hope you are feeling safe and feeling loved.

There was an Andy Griffith episode where Barney was supposed to sing, but couldn't carry a tune, so Andy talked him into singing quiet...so quiet that there was no sound coming out of him. I’m so glad you liked it! Oh yikes. That sounds painful, and probably not something you should treat on your own with a mail order lol. That vacuum sounds even more amazing! Omg. Maybe I can find one someday.

Oh my goodness, this was a very fun video. I hope you do make a series of readings, like this. Some of my favorite vintage magazines are Better Homes and Gardens, Feild and Stream and any movie magazines (Modern Screen, Silver Screen ect.) I can find. I wish I could build a time machine, I'd pick you up and we could go shopping. Ah, and we'll need a shrink ray, too. I bet there was an ad for them somewhere. LOL

I swear,I love her channel and her interest in the 50s. I find it super wholesome and I am so grateful for this but dang whenever she read HE-MAN my mind would think of hymen and I could not pinpoint why would any man want the voice of a hymen 😂😂😂

Crazy funny ads! Some of the ads I've seen over the years concerning women have been anger inducing but I can still laugh at some that are just plain ridiculous!

Hahahahaha great video! These ads reminded me of a fav movie The Prize Winner of Defiance Ohio with Woody Harrelson and Julianne Moore. Have you seen it???? It's a must see if you haven't.

Thanks so much! Oh yes!! I did see that movie. It was really good. I may need to watch that one again.

I haven't seen that movie in some time. It was a good one. Another modern retro movie is Far From Heaven with Julianne Moore and Dennis Quaid. That's worth a watch. Reminds me of a Douglas Sirk film.
