Love it. My dream 1950’s kitchen is slowly coming true. I have a 1950’s stove built by General Motors lol. I love it.

What did a 1950’s housewife wear around the house doing chores in the winter? I know of, even remember, the summer dresses, but for the life of me I can’t find anything about housewife, at home, during winter. Going out sure, but what they wore in the home, their house dress during winter? 🤷🏻♀️ Any ideas?

The real reason why most of the people choose to be vintage .is to escape the toxic world of today the socmed and ai era.

Spiders remind me of the flower Iris…drawing them starts with a spiders body …that scold..we all think we would know…but we don’t…I think I’d rather be a praying mantis but then I’d have to eat your head after mating….this looks like a movie set…not reality but what do I know I’m just some crazy internet person who is going to take myself back home….ill never be Faye thank God but I like to believe that even if I had been Faye I would have loved my children I wouldn’t have treated them the same cruel way….my mom could have repeated that cycle but instead she asked God to help her be the mother she always wished she had….instigating makes me feel pathetic it’s not funny and It didn’t help me…hopefully it helped someone.

Easily found on eBay. A few years ago I picked up a new in box set that is probably very similar to this one. It came with two different sizes of press, with the smaller one being perfect for piping frosting. While it had a decent collection of tips and disks, I've added to it with a few different designs that were made over the years. It may not be quite as easy to use as a modern press, but it isn't difficult, and not having any plastic in it means that it will likely outlast any of today's presses.

The whole room looked very nice. The aluminum tree brought back treasured memories. Watching my mother assemble the tree with all red ornaments and the color wheel. I would spend hours staring at that tree with the colors changing.

Obviously vintage hair usually uses pincurls set in rollers. I'm curious what U-shaped haircut like this would look like with naturally curly hair?

The bathroom is stunning! You did a really nice job decorating. I think some of those vintage items you acquired would go nicely in the bathroom. For instance, that little pink and black dish with the lid could be used for holding cotton balls. Also the other dish that was clear could be used for items like Q-tips and cotton balls and things of that nature. I hope everything is going well with you ❤

You know what else could be fun, but only if Jason is a handy guy…Vintage repair videos or vintage project videos…Think of all the do-it-yourself ideas in Popular Mechanics, The Family Handyman, Do It Yourself, Practical Householder, etc. If he’s into that, his own channel could be fun, but only if he’s into DIY like that…It could be fun for those of us out there who dig such things, or who remember our fathers or grandfathers digging such things…

Just curious, Laci…In your opinion, which are better, Majestic lamps, tension pole floor lamps or spaghetti swag lucite lamps? What about desk lamps and lava lamps? Have you ever done a video about various forms of vintage MCM lighting, or a lamp restoration video? What about finding reproduction or original vintage shades for lamps missing their shades or for shades that have been destroyed? I’d love to see more of this, as there are not many tackling this subject…So many more vintage things you could talk about…What about vintage fans! Edison, General Electric, Emerson, Westinghouse, Superior Electric, Western Electric, etc. Vintage clocks, too…I have a lovely Telechron or two that I like, but there are some great General Electric models and others…Vintage appliances would be another great topic…electric frying pans, Presto, Sunbeam, Westinghouse, old stoves, refrigerators like General Electric, Kelvinator, Coldspot, Hotpoint, Admiral and on and on…Vintage mixers, accessories, utensils, china, tea sets, silverware…Another cool thing would be to invite vintage friends over to have some vintage game nights and play vintage 50’s and 60’s games…Thoughts? In any case, I love the thrifting videos! You sure know how to spot some good deals!

Laci, I think you’ve mentioned The Vintage Market Days in Northern Utah as a good source for your hauls, but how many of these other places have you been to? 1. VINTAGE TREASURES 2. COUNTRY VILLAGE ANTIQUE MALL 3. KINGS FINEST VINTAGE 4. HIDDEN TREASURES 5. CACHE VALLEY ANTIQUES 6. NICK’S VINTAGE CLOTHING 7. VICTORIAN ROSE ANTIQUES 8. MCLAREN’S COLLECTIBLES 9. 25TH STREET TREASURES 10. VINTIQUERS 11. RUSTY PETALS VINTAGE 12. ABBY’S ANTIQUE MALL 13. UP YOUR ALLEY 14. TREASURED AGAIN 15. URBAN FLEA MARKET 16. SALT LAKE’S INDOOR SWAP MEET 17. REDWOOD DRIVE IN THEATRE & SWAP MEET 18. UTAH VALLEY FLEA MARKET It might be fun, too, to showcase more of your local antique shops and flea markets…and help drum up business for them! I know these places could use the help!

Please stick around a while, Laci! People have really missed seeing you on KZbin…Are there any other vintage pursuits you want to talk about? Have you explored the topics of vintage books, vintage board games, vintage car shows or vintage radios? What about vintage cleaning tips ala Heloise? Good vintage tips from Better Homes & Gardens or Good Housekeeping? For that matter, do you have a collection of vintage magazines or newspapers? Maybe some discussions about preserving such things, perhaps? Do you have any favorite 50’s films or records? What about movie and music reviews of the classics? You have a lot of ideas and options you could pursue here, but there are plenty of topics you could go in depth on…Still, keep up the good work…and keep making these videos! We all think they are keen! Or is it more apropos to say “ginchy”?

It is important to be authentically you! Absolutely nothing wrong with loving vintage in the modern world! There is something very comforting about those things that remind us of bygone days…You don’t necessarily have to have the values of the 50’s, but I will say that kindness, generosity and understanding are values that NEVER go out of style!

You know, Laci…I have a young friend who runs an estate sale company now, but back when he was fixing vintage radios and electronics a few short years ago, he acquired three of those Predicta sets and repaired them to working condition…I would keep a lookout for one…In my area in Michigan, we have a Vintage Electronics Expo where I’ve seen restored TV’s like that…Don’t forget that Philco and RCA Victor made some other nice models, too…When it comes to vintage electronics, Motorola and Admiral are great names, as well…Maybe you might have similar vintage or antique shows, retro shops, flea markets and the like that you could profile on your channel…There are lots of great ideas…What about more videos cooking out of vintage 1950’s cookbooks and using the real appliances and utensils from the era? The devotion to authenticity is what’s fun about it and you definitely have the right authentic spirit for these videos, so I say…Keep up the good work! Too many Laci Fay videos are never enough!

Hey there, Laci Fay! It’s cool to see you’re back making videos again…Your dedication to all things retro and vintage is admirable! I am also a lover of all things vintage, as well as vintage records…and love flea markets…I had a very cool opportunity to visit a Victorian house estate sale and found all sorts of very cool vintage items on the cheap…For example, a stack of old Saturday Evening Post magazines from the mid-to-late 50’s and early 60’s, plus a very space age metal General Electric fan…Other finds over the years have included a black three-coned tension pole lamp and some very nice metal-and-vinyl chairs from the 50’s…I also have an old white refrigerator of my dad’s…A 50’s General Electric…When it comes to vintage lighting, fans, appliances, etc., do you have a go-to person for repairs…I’m curious if you have any tips on that…That would be a great video in and of itself , if you have any good tips to share…Maybe visiting some vintage estate sales yourself would be fun, especially in those older homes, where you could show off the great finds! Vintage upcycling projects are another area that could be fun! I will say that if you ever need anything for that Voice Of Music console, contact Gary Stork at www.thevoiceofmusic.com…If he doesn’t have it, can get it or direct you to it, it can’t be had! But, please keep making these great videos and staying true to your vintage roots! We are losing more of this history day by day and it’s so important to keep it alive for future generations!
