There are far too many of you out there that would choose to shun people. I will offer money or a phone call to anyone who asks politely. Maybe I’m taking a big risk, you say? I’m 77 years old and I’ve never regretted offering help. It’s none of my business what they do with the money. I don't see this as a measure of goodness so much as a measure of fear. It seemed clear from the reactions that most of the people wanted to help, but were -- not unjustifiably-- afraid they would get their phones stolen or have some other negative outcome. Speaking as someone who has helped many people to my detriment, it seems to me only reasonable not to give your trust to someone you don't know. What would be the basis for that trust, other than either gullibility or intuition? So unless we have reason to have great faith in our intuition's accuracy (and our ability to be sure it's the voice of intuition to which we are responding), it seems to me a sensible precaution not to risk something of value on that basis.

This isn't a good test. I would never let a stranger use my phone number off the street that I don't know. Your phone number is your identity and your bank information and cash app etc. You don't know who they are calling and giving out your phone number.

Thinking of this more and for today yes you are right but because this test really had a different purpose in my opinion and let's say this test was re-made back in 80-90 when people had mobile cell-phones with (1G & 2G) sim cards and buttons used only for calling or text messages, no cameras for compromising photos, no pay-apps.. etc and you are asked just like in this situation for an emergency call from your cell-phone, your answer would be the same as well ?

What are they going to do? 😂 Take my phone? Oh no! Please don't take my old, crappy phone so I can get a new, better one! 😂 I have $2/ month insurance on it for that very reason... And why couldn't I offer to make the call for him? But even worst case scenario... I'm always carrying. Always have. All my life. Grew up around Pew Pews. I don't understand why people were so unwilling to make a phone call for someone? Or let him use the phone. If he has someone he needs to call - and with a black eye, I'm guessing he needs some help - then why wouldn't you want to let him help himself?!? It's not like he can use a PayPhone! What else is he going to do?!? Maybe he was gonna call the cops on whoever did that to him! This doesn't make any sense at all.

Aku pernah mengalami kisah seperti ini..tahun 2001..saat itu aku bekerja jadi mekanik..sebenarnya saat itu HPku habis batre..terpaksa telpon ke kantor pakai jasa wartel..saat itu antri dan karena baju yang agak lusuh juga..niatnya jaga jarak dengan yang lain..tapi saat itu malah dikasih uang seratus perak dan disuruh pergi.........akhirnya aku bilang ke penjaga,bahwa aku mau telpon ke kantor..dan saya tunjukkan uang 5juta uang ratusan ribu...jaman itu masih jarang orang punya HP.......alhamdulillah sekarang sudah punya usaha alat berat dan punya karyawan 40an orang...😇..
