Mo Bamba is a very complete interior player. He can play outside and shoot three-pointers, but his priority should be to protect the interior as a center. He needs to focus on protecting the basket and grabbing rebounds. Currently, he is showing concrete signs of his abilities during the ongoing match. Against a tall team, he stays inside, protects the basket, and grabs rebounds. You are happy to see these improvements, and your frustration was justified. You imagine he could focus on simple but effective moves and repeat these actions to maximize his impact. Well, I watched the whole match and all that. It’s not perfect yet, but Mo Bamba has made great efforts. Sometimes he is still too far outside, which allows opponents to take advantage. He should stay closer to the basket and avoid moving away from the paint. When he is outside, he struggles to get back and position himself correctly to grab rebounds. He needs to protect both on defense and offense, stay close to the paint to grab rebounds if other players miss their shots or pass to him. Despite this, he has made significant progress, and we shouldn’t ask too much of him for now. What he has accomplished is already huge.

LAC shut Simons down. (0 pts). Persistent team defense all night. A very good showing in Portland, especially on a back to back.

Hes slowly easing back into the lineup, there’s no rush to have him back yet so he’s on minutes restriction and is not playing both nights of a b2b
