Absolutely stunning. I am a collector as well, and the Laco is one of those watches that once owned and worn, changes one’s perspective forever. Beautiful choice sir.

I still enjoy the watch today Niobium plus I have a soft spot or manual wind watches

Had my Munster for a month now and I'm loving finding these videos. My first decent watch and suddenly adding to the collection is hard as very few watches match this for historic interest and functional beauty. Have a pilots(closed) strap that looks wonderful and an olive Laco strap at 18mm (makes the watch look a little bigger to me). Both work brilliantly. Great video.

Thanks Trevor the Munster is a very cool model, Ive many more videos you may like on the channel including more from Laco and the likes of Sinn , Nomos and lots more :)

Yes, I like these. I have the Dortmund; 45mm mechanical. I love it. It’s running around -1 spd on the wrist and +1spd off of it so it evens out well. I’m going to get the Westerland A-dial variant as well. Laco make great observation watches and they are, without a doubt, the most historically accurate and authentic of all made today.

Well said Sir :)

Brian_44 8” I wouldn’t go over 45mm with said size. If you’re 8” or less then 42mm will be best. It’s not just the dial, it’s the large crown that must be considered. I like the size but I’d also wear 42mm. My smallest watch is 37mm. Size, as long as it’s comfortable, is irrelevant.

Nicely done. I've been hesitant to get one of these Lacos in the Original Series because of the dark gray metallic finish, straight lugs, and sterile dial. But your review may very well have changed my mind -- the watch looks really good! I also like the choice of the hand-winding movement as I've found them to be very satisfying to interact with, more than an automatic.

Great video! Very well articulated and covered it all! And …. Oh geez…. I just bought this (45mm version). Waiting for arrival. I’m so nervous about the size on a 7.25” wrist.

I'm wearing mine on a leather Zulu. Had to skim some leather off at the part of the Zulu that goes around the spring bars and lugs in order to get it to fit. Like it immensely.

Nice I’ve just had a new black leather strap made for it looks great 👍🏻

Got the 45mm about a year ago and I love it! Not a fan of the original strap with those fake buttons so I have it on a tropical rubber strap.

I just love how smooth it is to wind its a pure joy, I find for my 7" wrist 42mm is spot on plus the lume is so strong

Hello! I have been on the fence for a hand-wind Laco pilot for a long time now and this one, the Memmingen is the one i want. As for the movement, how is the feedback on the hand-winding? Does it feel sturdy or rugged? Thanks in advance and stay healthy.
@ClickSpringReview4 жыл бұрын
The ETA movement is really smooth to wind and very positive all at the same time . I find myself though day just winding every now and then because I can :) and yes it does feel very solid , hope this help Sir all the best

Time Out Watches Thank you for your quick reply, I enjoyed your review and it pretty much sold me on the Laco. Also nice to hear that the movement feels good, i love hand-winding watches, it makes me feel more connected to the watch if that makes sense

That’s the Laco I’d like to have. Love the hand winding movement and case design. I have a Stowa classic 40 and a Steinhart A style and the Laco would be a nice addition with enough difference. Nice find!
@ClickSpringReview4 жыл бұрын
The Stowa also is a nice watch Scott , I like the simply honest look of the Laco I'm really happy with it as you maybe able to tell from the video :)
@jefferyneu39152 жыл бұрын
I would definitely wear that watch! The only change I would like to see is a fully lumed dial with black indices and black hands even though I know that would ruin the historical accuracy.
@ClickSpringReview2 жыл бұрын
To be fair Jeffery I love the dial and lume is just amazing on this watch but thanks for your feedback sir

@@zillsburyy1 I'd say yes as Laco still use the old design plus they now have a very nice looking chrono and when I contacted them once they were super helpful

Do you really think the word for buying something is "brought"? You sound educated enough but maybe that's just the accent. Oh and it's a diamond crown not an onion crown.
@ClickSpringReview2 жыл бұрын
I never said i was well educated ;) but thanks for the info regrading the crown design
