Is the black finish a deep black or is it more like the SPB185 black ? I am hoping for it to be really2 black.

I would have named it Shizoku if i am going to maintain the name starting with an 'S'....after all Shizoku is a terminology being given to former samurais. They are a different breed of Japanese warriors.

Hi Barry, it really looks the part and has a decent specification. Carbon bikes are brittle compared with metal framed machines, and I'm not certain about the lasting qualities of forged Carbon in a harsh working environment compared with steel or titanium models. It looks good though! Have a good weekend matey, LG Bob 🍻

Sounds incredible Barrie, something I’d love to do but alas changing direction is not an option for me despite the passion I have. Really pleased they are teaching you to make escapements, didn’t know that the courses are that detailed anymore. Was only having a conversation with a watchmaker yesterday about this. He had not heard of Rebecca Struthers and when I said they are artisans and made everything in house the first thing he asked was if they made escape wheels .

Cheers Micheal, the course I would say is mostly aimed at clockmaking so we have to learn how to repair and if not possible make new parts from scratch. Rebecca is a bit of a legend when it comes to the course I'm just about to start her book in fact 👍🏻

She is also quite active on instagram and has replied to some of my comments which made me a bit star stuck! Great review. I flipped my quartz version and regretted doing it. But now with automatic movement and GMT it’s definitely on my radar again. I just wish (like a few other fellas here) it was a little smaller. Having said that it was made for a certain purpose and big is better for tactical use so we have to accept it. Cheers.

I don't agree about the accuracy due to the fact that the Sinn uses the top grade movement, it may be better and consistent but mine came in from Sinn at +8s per day. Of course it can be easily adjusted but I don't mind that. A few of my NH35 and PT5000 watches from China came in like +1s per day. So, the top grade movement doesn't mean that you will get the best accuracy, you're paying for the best assembling quality (quiet rotor, smooth winding), less positional variant and better shock resistant.
@ClickSpringReview
@ClickSpringReview 3 күн бұрын
Hi Harry, Top Grade movements are adjusted in 5 positions were as standard is only 3 Your +8 just over the limit, TWR (UK Service Centre) say that all Sinn's they expect to run to within COSC standards

If the miss alignment is only small (say a fraction of a click) one other option is to pop the bezel off and warm up the glue under the insert using a hair dryer. Once the glue is warm you can use your thumbs to move the insert a little. Then it cools down and resets in its new position. That’s the method I’ve used on two Seiko prospex’. Worked perfectly

I have a stereo microscope with a camera on the bench which I recorded my youtube videos on, We have them at Uni but I love using my Asco loupes. The problem is most service centres don't use them unless it's for inspection, I know WOS or Watch Atelier ,TWR or even Rolex don't use them to service we don't either. But I'm more amazed by people using D5 or simply not using Epilame which is a must I think Sir

Ive owned the sbbn017, sbbn037, and sbdb013. They all rock. Loved the metal hands on the 017 but it lacked legibility compared to the newer tunas. The 037 has better lume but I didnt like the handset as much as it l felt cheap and was true to the orginalnal style. The sbdb013 had the spring drive and feels very premium (best bang for buck tuna and spring drive) but the same handset issue kept the watch from being perfect. From a tool perspective the new handsets are more legible and functional than the traditional tuna metal handsets which they brought back on the newest versions.
