Also wanted to say thanks for the footage. I feel like I have learned more about the board and the what you rode over than anything I have read. I wouldn't try half of that on my boosted board.

Shane Parrott that it true. I honestly haven't been able to find a hill around yet that the Lacroix can't flatten. It just dominates every hill around with ease. I love that power!

Would absolutely love to, but I don't have the cash at the moment... I am actually headed to Montreal next weekend and I plan on catching up with Alex to talk about his latest boards. If possible I'd love to test ride one. It would be nice to feel the difference between the new and old.

@@yoursource3170 ahh that would be amazing if you could actually do a proper interview with him. The details on these new boards are a bit scarce so any more info you can pull out of him would be very much appreciated. Have a nice time there.

This board makes me rethink my carbon gt... Regenerative breaking? With those very wide trucks....more chance they snap? Gravel riding. I notice there is no belt cover. Will pebbles catch into the belt and damage easier than a board with belt covers? The tires are offroad yet it says non mountain. For park trails like gravel and such shouldnt be a problem right? Awesome looking and the long range is very sexy!! Go CANADA!! FINALLY LOL

I was lucky enough to get a carbon GT that clicked right out of the box and the next day I learned about this board sent my carbon GT back for a full refund and ordered this so when I get the Lacroix I'll let you know the difference I know for sure it's shorter, I think the foot positioning is even shorter than the bamboo.. the carbon GT sure was cool to look at though

Thanks bro I appreciate that. Yeah maybe not quite as cinematic other videos, but one of my main goals in most of my videos is to just show the audience what it's really like to ride these boards and be as honest as possible from a user experience. Thanks for watching.

Why are there so few reviews and videos on this board? Seems like a outstanding electric skateboard. Need to send one to Jay Boston or Talon Sei.
@yoursource3170
@yoursource3170 6 жыл бұрын
David Johnson I wish there were more reviews out there as well. That's one reason why I'm trying to get some content out there. It's one of the best boards you can buy on the market right now. I know they are very new though and advertising is not their strong suit at the moment. I actually only heard about them through one of my viewers from a different board review I did. I hope more people take a serious look at lacroix. In my opinion it is the best board out. Best blend of top class power, range and ride quality. I do think a review from a more well known KZbinr would help them get even more business. I hope their company succeeds and ends up coming out with even more great boards.

I wish we could get better sound from motors without the wind. I love the way they sound. It sounds like the future of speed. Maybe you can find a cheap mic to clip to the back of the board and edit in post production. With a gimbal the footage would have been amazing.

Yeah that's I good idea of love to try to rig something like that up for a future video. I love hearing the motors while I'm riding. Thanks for your comments.

Do you ever feel the need for foot bindings? Or do you feel secure enough without them?
@yoursource3170
@yoursource3170 6 жыл бұрын
That's a great question and one I had wondered about before I bought this board. The short answer to your question is no. Although there are a few isolated times that they may prove useful, overall I don't feel the need for them. They might be useful if you are doing a lot of off-roading but that's not really what this board is designed for. I remember when riding my Kalynyc board I would sometimes want bindings, but that's more because the trampa deck is not as comfortable to ride on as the lacroix deck. This board carves really well as is. You might be able to carve even harder with bindings but I personally don't think they are needed. It's also nice to not have them since it keeps the board less bulky and maintains a streamlined look. I also asked the creators about bindings and they recommended not using them since they designed the board to be ridden without them. Hope this helps.

Your Source I hope they create a next generation Lacroix Board that would include the same size motors in a Hub configuration for a total of 4 Hub motors with the same size pneumatic tires? 2 Enertion FocBox Unity modules to manage the 4 powerful hub motors, this would be the first real Traction Control AWD system in the industry! Cleaner look too since there wouldn’t be any motor mounts hanging out from the back for easier dragging or carrying. When this happens I will be a huge Evangelist / Marketer for a movement of that magnitude. True alternative transportation that is comfortable, versatile and powerful for anyone that is able to balance on a board. Holler back with some feedback please, maybe we can both persuade Alex to consider this concept.

I noticed that you have a yellow elastomer on the front and a red on the back. Did it come like that? I will weigh about 185 with gear on and ordered this board with 175+. I may have to revisited this when it comes in.
@yoursource3170
@yoursource3170 6 жыл бұрын
David Johnson yes it did come with that setup. My weight is similar to yours actually and I really love my setup. You may prefer it differently though. Alex from Lacroix was super helpful and responsive to email. I'm sure he'd help you out with any questions or requests.

@yoursource3170
@yoursource3170 6 жыл бұрын
justcarryonnow this board has incredible power. It gets going over 20mph in no time and will keep accelerating strongly up to around 30. The website says 33. I've tracked going 34 before but I would highly recommend tightening the trucks if you plan on going over 30. The settings mine were set to when I got it were perfect for up to about 30 while still maintaining awesome carving. Over 30 I would stiffen them up just to be safe. I personally don't feel the need to go that fast too often but it's always nice knowing it has so much power to give. Hope that helps.

LaCroix on dry days, boosted stealth in the rain! My dream combo😊 Do you have any issues with the low speed breaks locking up? Looks like you just coast a little instead of coming to a full stop.
@yoursource3170
@yoursource3170 6 жыл бұрын
Overall I love the braking on the lacroix. It's super predictable with strong stopping power that won't catch so hard that you go flying off just by barely touching it. I will say that the low speed lock up is a small gripe of mine. At around 3mph the brakes bite really hard. I've gotten used to it and don't really notice it anymore but it is something I believe a lot of people will find annoying when first riding. I wouldn't call it a deal breaker by any means though. Like I said, it's pretty easy to compensate for once you know it's there. And it's not like it truly locks up and skids or anything. It just bites really hard. On the plus side, it's very predictable and happens every time so you can count on it. It also is kinda nice to get that little extra stopping power at the very end. I do wish it was a bit smoother but I wouldn't call it dangerous just because you're going so slow when it happens. Hope that helps.

received a bid for $1000 for my Stealth on eBay ... five more days left till final sale.. Ordered a LaCroix yesterday. I really enjoyed my Stealth even w/ the 86m poly wheels - seems to go over large objects pretty well, and the overall ergonomics of the board are cool. I guess I can retract on the bid still. But I have a OneWheel XR and a Ninebox Z10... both which have pneumatic tires... I am still privy to the Stealth, which still hauls ass at 24mph at 2100w vs Lacroix at 7000w...

It's pretty stable up to about 30mph on the truck tightness I have now and it still carves like a dream. If you are trying to hit top speed though I would recommend tighting them up a bit for safety. It's about the most stable but still carvy feeling board I've ever ridden. Hope that helps.

bobby z they are the MBS brand hubs. I believe they are the Rockstar II hubs. I'm sure if you emailed lacroix boards they would let you know. They are injection molded and sure strong from what I hear. Not metal but high quality and very light weight which is a big plus.
