Great technique by Christina here. She sounds great, just as the harmonic vocal moments. Lacuna Coil should use more harmonies in their vocal lines since they've got two vocalists.

It’s always the people that don’t know anything about singing. They act like he’s the only metal vocalist that messes up clean vocals. PLEASE. I’ve heard Corey Taylor butcher clean and distorted lines hard. And he’s one of the most respected vocalists around rightfully so.

Couldn't agree more! Cristina is definitely the voice talent in the band, but Andrea is equally important for their character as a band, and he can vocally perform things that she can't - i think the have an amazing synergy as a duet and their music greatly benefits from that.

I am not into gothic music at all and very little metal but Lacuna has been one of my fav bands for years and years because of Cristina. She strikes me as another Stevie Nicks, Janis Joplin or Linda Ronstadt. Just a pure and true diva. She captures the stage and emotion every time.

To all of those who say Andrea needs to be dropped, you need to understand that, although not all people like his singing ( I actually do ), he does a ton behind the scenes creatively, just as all band members do. I think it's actually the same concept as Slipknot and Mushroomhead. They have so many people in those bands, each member seems depreciated, but the creative genius that each person brings to the table really creates the sound people love, regardless what happens on stage.

I have fallen completely in love with all of Lacuna Coil's new stuff as well. Black Anema album has won me over. I grew up when artists gave us music that felt like an event. Elvis The Who Led Zepplin Pink Floyd Metallica Iron Maiden Tom Petty Quiet Riot Tesla The Rolling Stones Van Halen Bob Segar Queensryche Janis Joplin Alice In Chains Tool Perfect Circle Puscifer Judas Priest Truly grew up with and still to this day love these artists I have been missing that feeling for years now. This band has given me back that feeling. I agree that it would be easy to pick apart any individual performer and give them a well deserved critique. This is true for any and all bands. True measure of a band or songs is the sum of their efforts. The song or songs as a whole. All artists are trying to convey an emotion in one way or another. Look at Tool or should I say Maynard. The emotional struggles in his life brought us three great groups to listen to but for three different reasons. The one common thread...emotion. Me personally, I love the way this band brings it. I love each song just for different reasons. I do gravitate towards the songs with meat on the bone. I am a sucker for that freight train delivery of drums and bass combined with a little growling, great lead guitar and petite female vocals with a lightning strike punch. Summary. Just great Listening. To me any way. Wow........just took a look back and realized that you have just witnessed a middle aged man's stroll back in time. No....not high.......just looking back. I just like what I see. Thank you for the question.
