Super choice, love Lacy's voice. Great to hear her again on the channel, and this is a terrific song. Thanks Don!

I always think of "Black Coffee" immediately when I hear the name Lacy J Dalton. Terry, I;m trying to get a Lari White song for her to be remembered on the 23rd. I ran across the forgotten Les Taylor duet with Shelby Lynne from 1991 "Very First Lasting Love" last night. Wow! How did I not remember that song and video? Here they are performing it live on Nashville Now. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKnVZ3aAZpeWqLc

@@jeffreyk5734 Wow, that is a really great video. I had forgotten about it too - the 90s were the best and there was a lot of really good work going on. I'm a fan of Shelby and Allison as well! And you're right about Black Coffee - not sure if that was her biggest hit, but it comes first in my mind too.

Thanks for keeping up the good work. Nice one from Lacy's unique vocal quality. And more good insight from you, Don.

Lacy was my dad's favorite. He got to see her in concert in Tahoe.

Thanks for a very nice morning selection. Show some respect for Lacy and edit the title and add the "J". 😄😄😄 Lacy co-wrote this with her longest and dear friend Mary McFadden. The inspiration for the song came from Lacy's own personal experiences with love. The song was released in 1979. The song did not make the charts. Thanks Don, for sharing your reaction

This was the first one of her songs I ever heard. I like AreThere Any Cowboys Left. I'll Love 'Em Whatever They Are is a very funny song.

I loved the song…she makes me think of Lainey Wilson. But I think it’s sad to never open up your heart.

I don't recall this song. Now that's Country. Nice selection. I have a friend at work who saw Lacy a couple times in concert. First many years ago, and the other more recently. Incidentally Don, I'd be remiss to mention again that in just a couple days' time on Thursday the 23rd of January it will be 7 years since Lari White died back in 2018 of a rare form of Cancer. I can't hardly believe it's been that long already. Please honor her if you can on that day. This great song called "Do It Again" would be very appropriate to remember her by. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJiTh2WEes1kpdE Another superb choice would be the title track of her Gold album "Wishes" which she Co-wrote with Hubby Chuck Cannon. Here is another link for that song. kzbin.info/www/bejne/npCugGOdjcmSqZo I'd be very happy with anything though that you haven't previously reacted too. "Lead Me Not", "Woman Of The World", "Anything Goes", "That's How You Know", "Something Blue", Stepping Stone", Etc. All amazing songs. I somehow failed to mark the 8th Anniversary of Holly Dunn's passing back in November, and I'm still kicking myself. I've been trying to get more people to subscribe to your channel here. Hopefully, there will be a new influx of followers joining soon. One guy told me he wants a Shelby Lynne tune last night.
