The end trilogy, Ladders, Rise and Windows are possibly the best work that they've ever done. Comparable with the Willing Well IMO.

Josh always seems like he's enjoying playing so much. Even when he's rocking with a shaker on acoustic tracks. Love watching him

This song's tension was fucking amazing. The final trilogy was just a master piece. Most bands you think fall off creatively the longer they're a band but coheed is just something else.

Man. I don't know where to start. I have been a child of the fence for about 20 ish years. Mr. Josh, you are simply awesome. I have been watching your journey with coheed and Cambria the entire time. When you weren't there there was a void. I believe Claudio even spoke on it once before stating that it just wasn't the same. I am so elated that you are here to stay. Thank you for the inspiration to be one of the best people. Not let anything get me down. You are a huge inspiration to millions man. Thank you for finally given us a drum playthrough let alone a commentary to go with it. Keep rock and roll and make me. I love you bro..

Ladders is such a banger. It is easily one of the best songs in a long time and that's really saying something because a lot of what you guys have been doing lately are absolutely incredible. The musical components, Claudio's singing, the lyrics .. everything is pushed to such a higher level that when I first heard it after the album dropped I knew I'd remember my first time hearing it for a long time. One of the songs I wish was played live on the tour

as a non-drummer, if i didn't know the kit you played on..... i'd figure you'd be playing an enormous set with tons of drums and cymbals. the simplicity of your drumset with the mastery of your craft is amazing. the song is brutally musical and rhythmic. ladders into rise melt is fantastic. the whole album felt that way. everyone wants to see you sing this song for the band while you play that. you're a legend.

It's funny that you mentioned that Claudio had been listening to a lot of Broadway stuff. I got that same vibe, especially after hearing the title track. That groove from 5:05 on is masterful. I love these videos. Thanks for the content Josh!
@kevintickell24522 жыл бұрын
The control you show when writing the drum pieces is so impressive. It would be very easy for a drummer to go overboard with the amount of kick and snare in the main groove, and the endless fills of different variety, but your returning to the same drum ‘sentences’ that work make them as important as a guitar lick that gets used multiple times in a song. Inspiring Josh, love it.
