@Doven Ro Galus taking oneself more seriously, I guess... Still thinking about it..
@amasion28825 жыл бұрын
My thoughts: 1). ALL relationships involve some level of negotiation and compromise. We all have our imagined ideal mate. A real life person can’t match our idealization. In brief, we ALL “settle” for someone who is a good match but still not our illusory ideal. 2). Fearing “nothing better will come along:” No matter how much you and your spouse love and respect each other, or how great a life you build together, there’s ALWAYS “someone better” SOMEWHERE. Handsomer, healthier, richer, better career or social connections, better body, better in bed, smarter, higher intelligence...Think of any quality or attribute you value in a man. Someone somewhere has more or is better in some way. Same applies to you. No matter how young, beautiful, talented, educated, creative, professionally successful or domestically accomplished you are, there’s “better” out there. Somewhere. No point in fearing that. 3). There’s a huge difference between “settling well” and “settling poorly.” Settling well involves thorough soul searching and honesty with oneself. Is a suitor a close match for your most essential relationship needs WITHOUT being a deficit in any of them? Do you honestly believe you could “do better” without sacrificing some of his good qualities? Is he attractive to you intellectually, emotionally and physically? Is he equally or more attracted to you? “Settling poorly” involves accepting a suitor you objectively see as “good” but you don’t know and understand your own needs well enough to determine if you’re “good together.” You might believe you want/expect “too much” so you settle with someone who brings little or nothing to your life OR possibly brings negativity or harm (abuse, exploitation), calling yourself “being realistic.” “Settling poorly” could also mean accepting a suitor who offers little or nothing good or beneficial into your life. These are relationships where people really DON’T want what’s offered, but they accept under duress (fear of not finding a good match, fear of growing old and alone, guilt or obligation related to friends or family pressure, etc.). The settler accepts, hopes for the best, and is usually dissatisfied. NOONE wants or deserves this kind of relationship. 4). Being “well settled” has a different definition and criteria for everyone. Be unflinchingly honest to yourself about where you will compromise and where you won’t.

this is based on the premise you have worth, not just because you're a woman. If you had so much worth, do you think you'd be worrying about settling for less, you'd have the top 10% of males locking you down already. People ego makes them think they entitled to top 10%, when nothing about them is top 10%. Complete lack of self-awareness.

I think young women (myself included) shy away from "rocking the boat" because of the messages we've received about what it means to be a "desirable" woman. All women want to feel wanted, it's natural. But out of fear of being unwanted we conform and compromise more than our male counterparts (and I willing to argue more than any other species of female). I asked for a salary raise for the first time before accepting a job, and I was so shocked at how easy it was and how willing my company was to give me what I asked for. PEOPLE WILL NEVER GIVE YOU MORE THAN WHAT YOU DEMAND!

People especially women have a misconception about dating. As you rightly state dating is about data collection!!! My standards for 2019 and futur in a man: - he has to be faithful and loyal - ambitious - a responsible human being -financially stable - emotionally stable, -Intelligent and well spoken, - Committed to our relationship, - Respectable and respectful - and there has to be some type of chemistry between us. I will not settle for anything less, I am ready to be as patient as needed. If I had to settle for something, it would be looks. Btw I will also cleanse my friendships for 2019, some people got to go. Thank you very much Breeny, I am not a Christian but your faith in God is very refreshing and inspiring.

Brandon Reynolds Although I personally don’t see myself dating multiple people at the same time, dating multiple people doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve “been around the block”. Dating doesn’t always imply having sex.
@evadalouchie6 жыл бұрын
His reply is exactly what I’m talking about fear wrapped in different words, everyone you deal with has been around the block, including yourself, unless you are or they are a virgin. This is the tactics used by men who have no compete, and typically nothing to offer, to a real man they could care less who you have been with in the past again using common sense unless both are virgins you have had another sex partner. The key is to leave those who feel like mr Brandon alone. Walk away there is no need to convince them, they need no convincing they desire control. GOOD BY. Dating is great, you need to know who you are dealing with with no expectations and I say no sex at all do not have sex while dating because sex is a mind things, you do not have to know ‘how he is or she is down there’ because love and sex being perceived as amazing is all in your mind. Good day lovely people.

i had the exact same issue... nevermind my hair falling out he ripped it out for me and acted like he aint did nothing.... narcissism is serious and if you think hell change you’re kidding yourself. they also have their eyes out for women who are empathetic and loving in nature usually those who are looking to fill that Godly void with a boyfriend... if that description fits you the narcissist can spot you from a mile away and will come for you just to ruin your life and have you second guessing everything. i wasted 3.5 years ill never get back and the deception was so real 2 years later it still has me second guessing myself.

As a boy becoming a man, (I am watching this video for the 3rd time) learning your value as a person is critical to what we need for our youth today. The culture of masculinity in my community is toxic and males are always are looking for ways to validate ourselves. Ladies often are placed in the middle of this mental battlefield and get hit in the crossfire. I cannot express enough, how grateful I am as a male, that you are teaching ladies to avoid guys who aren't ready for a woman or even a relationship. I would like to say, a huge problem we have as males is that most of us have overprotective homeboys, who constantly give biased advice from their own personal experiences with the women they were hurt by (this plants a seed of distrust with women). When women recognize how to identify men who don't respect them and learn their worth plus tax, I can convince more boys to push themselves to become Men, because as of now I preach to deaf ears within my community. May God Bless you!

I don’t get why you’re bagging on men so much, women do the exact same thing. Everyone’s friends are biased, as a person can only give advice based on their experience. And also, it’s not like women aren’t searching for validation because let me tell you of course we are! Every person looks to be validated in some way or another. I think the problem today isn’t that men are toxic, it’s most people are toxic. Remember, masculinity is a trait that women possess too.

I got ghosted for the second time by the same guy about a month ago and I’ve been a mess. I wake up with hope that he’ll come back and with the pain of knowing that I want someone who doesn’t treat me right. Few days ago I got tired of it all. I was emotionally exhausted and tired and I asked God for a miracle. I told God to bypass my emotions and bring back my sanity and trust in Him. I’ve been watching your video since yesterday(a day after I asked God for this miracle) and I feel sooooooooo much better. I don’t mourn the failed relationship anymore. I just thank God for separating me from someone like that. My boundaries of what I will accept and what I will NOT accept are so clear. Thank you for posting all of your videos. My boyfriend of over a year broke up with me by packing my stuff up and putting it outside his door without even giving me a conversation ALL two days before Christmas. We had been living together and before this, he had never ever treated me less than amazing and always treated me like a queen. . . so to say that I was and am devastated would be an understatement. I am in the process so of healing and of course, I still love him and miss him and think of him every day....but if he is going to treat me like that then that is all the closure I need. So now, I'm applying to new jobs, starting school in a few weeks and putting all of my energy into myself. It's really hard right now, but I can only hope that Ill walk away from this relationship as a better person.

Aww hunny, I'm sorry that happened. Try praying to God and ask for healing. If you don't know how to pray just go on your knees put your hands together and just talk to him...and if you don't know what to say just cry to him. I promise you it will help. Do it every day... you will see things start to change in your life. God Bless

Ladies Breeny Lee is right. Don't be afraid to say NO and you will see how man starts to react... Yesterday I have been celebrating the new year in "friend " house everything was cool chilling later he was ok we can go to sleep and I just looked at him - I am not sleeping here i go to my friends house. In that moment he calls the taxi, ok i am going out, I was like ok cool enjoy :D . A few days ago I told my ex good bye. He been telling me - oh neyt year we need to make babe because of ur age (30+)bla bla I almost agreed, silly me. Ladies, it is better to wait or be alone than settle down with idiot who doesn't deserve you. Sending too much self love :)

Yes I agree with the fact that guys rarely accept the first offer. I worked as a recruiter for 2 years but here’s the thing, while that was generally expected and accepted from male candidates the same wasn’t tolerated for female candidates and usually if they tried to negotiate, the clients (companies) were directly choosing the next candidates that would accept the first offer and that’s something that just made me realize the double standards even more in the working force...

It is VERY true that there is something better for you comming in literally 5 minutes. The other day i got Up to late ( school starts at 8 am & i was at the Bus Station at 7.50 ; w Bus i need 10 minutes ) and I Run after the Bus but the Bus was so crowded that literally Nobody fitted in anymore but Still the 5 other ppl that waited w me at the Bus Stop Tried to get Into the Bus & it worked. I could have still fitted into it but it would end Up as very stressfull & Shit so i waited for the next Bus. Usually my Bus come every 15 minutes and i would have been too late for real but I was Just Like " yeah fuck it its alright" . So I was Sitting there actually forgetting that i was getting to Class too late & at 7.52 am another Bus dropped and in there was literally Nobody. Maybe 5 people. Its insane + I ended Up being in Class at the right time!

Coming from working in the food industry and dealing with complaints and basically babying grown people's ego, there is a way you ask and talk to people serving you. Respect those who serve you just as much as you feel you deserve to be respected. Because the person you chew out may not even be responsible the problems.

watching this video really moved me. I was with a guy that i was madly in love with and he had been lieing to me through the entire relationship.first of all he had a child with his ex ( who he later discovered wasn't even his) which he didn't tell me about but anyway he named the child and was part of its life. He cheated on me with women he never even knew well , sending them personal naked pictures and meeting them when i thought he was "working".It was all so much and i broke into pieces and felt i couldn't live with the pain to the point i was going through depression. I've now come to understand, still healing from it all that Breeny is right. It is important , especially as a woman to love yourself! keep your standards high sis!. Loving yourself will help you understand that even when people disappoint you, you must stay true to who you really are on the inside and because of being aware of that i have chosen not to take him back(even though he swears he will change) but to channel all my energy on becoming the woman i am meant to be and discovering my purpose. Thank you Breeny, woman like you give me hope that their is more to life than settling for less than what we truly deserve because we are worried about being alone. The bible says the lord has plans to prosper us and not to harm us therefore all that causes you harm is not from the lord.

Yes young ladies...listen to what is being said. I am now 49 years of age and i am only learning this now. Do not get to my age thinking that there is nothing better out there. It all comes down to self esteem issues. I am not bitter but i am relieved that i have come to my senses..I am at the stage now that enough is enough and i am walking my own path..

Yesss never walk in fear. Knowing ur worth is very important. Not normal situation is becoming normal . Alot of people who knows me said my standards/ expectations are to high but I refuse to settle. I'm on my self love journey an it teaches me how to love on God an myself an family lot it also teach me patient. Great video may God continue to use u.

this is based on the premise you have worth, not just because you're a woman. If you had so much worth, do you think you'd be worrying about settling for less, you'd have the top 10% of males locking you down already. People ego makes them think they entitled to top 10%, when nothing about them is top 10%. Complete lack of self-awareness.

I also feel like you can almost always find better... but if you drop one for another you might get dropped because they found better... its tricky. If you have 80 percent i say keep it and slowing make it to at least 85% no one is perfect including ourselves. Love and acceptance is what the majority of us want. Good luck out there. Times been hard but its gotten harder
