hope you're ready for the curses and blessings. some clarifications: the reason the mail balloon could go through the sea of corpses above is because there's a hole in the middle with waterfalls pouring in. the sea is donut-shaped. we only know this from the author's word though. also nanachi can't go back up. she is affected by the curse like anyone else. in season 1, we saw her bleeding while carrying mitty away from ido front.

@@LaDixCommentaries The difference of Nanachi is that she can literally see the curse and where it’s present or not. So can other creatures like Meinya or the Orb Piercer. Makes sense why Bondrewd really wanted to achieve the Blessing.

Ahh yes, the heart-pounding continuation (prepare to have your heart pounded) of Made in Abyss! This season does indeed have 12 episodes, but as with S1, the finale is double-length! The anime reordered events from the manga pretty dramatically (Ganja Corp wasn't introduced until Volume 8). If anything, I think it works better here, but it does change the way certain events are perceived. Other notes: - I'm not sure how clear it is at this point, but Wazukyan is apparently a Prophet. As such everything he says has significance to the point I'd almost recommend rewatching the scenes he's in once you've finished the series. - Yes, Nanachi noted in the film that Ido Front was constructed upon the ruins of an abandoned ritual site. We'll see how Ganja activated the elevator soon enough, but not really very interesting - The Sea of Corpses floats atop a thick layer of mud and bones we saw the bathosphere passing through in this episode. As for the light, it's drawn down by the forcefield/Curse. Nanachi is susceptible to the Curse (except for that of the 5th Layer due to having unique senses). - The flaming stones and poison gas came from the volcanic vents that were previously mentioned. - The mystery assailant had their reasons for doing what they did.
