Out of all the MLP season premieres we’ve had, this one stood out to me the most. In some way or another, I knew that the villains would join forces, but I did not expect Grogar to be the head honcho. He was actually part of my S9 wishlist, along with Sombra’s return, the villain posse, and Flurry Heart’s first word. Sombra’s voice was not what I expected at first, but it grew on me while seeing his villainous performance and I really enjoyed his time on screen. I love everything about this premiere, the entire set up for this season has me hyped for the rest. If all goes well, S9 just might be my new favorite season over S5, but we’ll see. Great reaction by the way!

In this episode you asked if Sombra was actually a pony or not. The answer depends on what you consider canon. In the FIENDship is Magic comic series it's explained that Sombra is an Umbrum. The Umbrum are basically Shadow Demons that can take a physical form. That's why Sombra can dissolve into shadows or come back from the dead, his body is just a shell. The reason Sombra has a dark coat, fangs, red eyes and so on is because although Umbrum can take a form similar to ponies, they aren't truly ponies. The trouble is that the comics and show often contradict each other (despite explicitly being canon to each other) so if you consider FIENDship as canon then it makes sense why Sombra looks the way he does, how he's so good at dark magic (he's literally a dark spirit) and how he's stronger then Twilight.

"The return of harmony" - Celestia sends back all the letters Twilight sent to her returning Twilight to normal so she could fix her friends and beat discord. "Lesson Zero" - Celestia fixes the mess Twilight made with her "Want it Need it" spell. "A Canterlot Wedding" - Twilight Rescues Cadance. Celestia gets beat by Chrysalis. The Mane 6 get overwhelmed by Drones. And Shining armor & Cadance blast Chrysalis and her drones to kingdom come all while Luna is getting a present for Cadance & Shining Armor. "The Crystal Empire" - Shining armor gets his magic blocked by Sombra. And Cadance keeps her barrier up long enough for Spike to bring back The Crystal heart which is later powered by the crystal ponies to shatter Sombra like glass. "Sleepless in Ponyville" Luna convinces Scootaloo to tell Rainbow that she was scared of the stories she was telling causing Rainbow & Scootaloo to have a sisterly bond. "Princess twilight Sparkle" - Celestia & Luna get captured by Discord's seeds.Twilight sees Celestia beat Luna in the past. And The mane 6 return the elements of harmony saving Celestia, Luna & the Tree of Harmony. "Three's a crowd" - Cadance & Twilight beat the Tatzlwurm to give Discord the cure of illness he didn't have. "For whom the Sweetie belle toils" - Luna fixes the misunderstanding Sweetie belle had about Rarity trying to over shadow her. "Twilight's Kingdom" - The princesses are sent to Tartarus after giving all their magic to Twilight who then has a DBZ esque fight with Tirek. The Mane 6 get Rainbow Power & beat Tirek which returns everyones magic. "Bloom & Gloom" - Luna puts an end to the nightmares the Apple bloom is having . "Make new friends but keep Discord" - Treehugger stops the Smooze after Celestia & The Mane 6 can't. "Do princesses dream of magic sheep" - Luna creates the Tantabus to punish herself which back fires nearly turning Equestria into a living nightmare. She of course stops it with help from the ponyville citizens & Mane 6. "The Crystalling" - Celestia & Luna hold off the snow clouds of doom. Shining armor, Rarity & Pinkie try to catch Flurryheart while Cadance & Twilight try to fix the Crystal heart in the middle of the premiere. In the end they wind up Using the Spells Sunburst gave them as well as The Crystalling to fix the Crystal heart & save the day. "To where and back again" - Starlight, Trixie, Thorax, & Discord save The Princesses and The Mane 6 after they get captured by Chrysalis. "A royal Problem" - After Starlight switches her cutie mark with Luna's Celestia goes into the dream world and beats Daybreaker & Nightmare moon after a Heart to heart talk with Luna. "School Daze" - Celestia told twilight about the EEA & keep the other leaders busy while the mane 6 found the students. Celestia also supported the idea of twilight reopening her school. "Horse play" - Celestia Saved the mane 6's play. "A rockhoof and a hard place" gave Flash magnus a job as a drill sergeant for her guards. "School Raze" - Called Emergency meeting regarding the missing magic. Celestia and Luna Brought their guards to help catch Cozy glow who they then threw into Tartarus.

So seven years after Sombra's defeat, he is brought back by Grogar. He wanted to use Sombra in his plans, but Sombra was greedy so he decided to betray Grogar. Like when Charmcaster betrayed Hex in Ben 10. Speaking of which I'm sure Fluttershy wouldn't last a minute on planet Anur Transyl. Neither would the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and Snips and Snails would pee themselves. If there's going to be a Nightmare Night episode, the ponies could decorate Ponyville to make it look similar to Anur Transyl and they could dress up as Loboans (alien werewolfs), Transylians (alien Frankenstein's monsters), Thep Khufans (alien mummys) and Ectonurites (alien phantoms). I bet the student six would love to give that a try. Although Fluttershy said she dosen't wants to be part of Nightmare Night but it would be good if she could gather up her courage and join her friends by dressing up as a Thep Khufan or an Ectonurite. Also there was a crossover movie about Ben 10 and Generator Rex a few years ago. I was thinking, how about a crossover with Ben 10 and Megas XLR? Ben could use Upgrade to merge with Megas to make it a lot cooler, maybe transform it into battle vehicles like a Transformer. Ben could also use Grey Matter to fix Megas's time machine and Kiva would be happy about it. And if the Glorft find out about that, the epic battle would begin. With the help of Ben, Coop, Jamie and Kiva will finally be able to defeat the Glorft once and for all. And I agree that the old Ben 10 series was much better, and Megas XLR needs a revival. It's too bad that the Elements of Harmony are destroyed, but on the bright side now the villains won't be able to use them. But now that the elements are no more, it could be possible that some day the HuMane sevens geodes are going to be destroyed as well? I don't know but the writers should make a Halloween Equestria Girls movie. According to the medieval belief magic is on it's greatest power on Halloween, so that could effect the leaking magic from the portal and the girls geodes. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of the villains. Grogar might find a way to get his bell back, but at the ending Tirek, Cozy and Chrysalis looked scared of him. Maybe they'll turn against him? It could happen, like when Ren Krawler turned against emperor Barodius in Bakugan: Gundalian Invaders. We'll have to wait and see.

I thought the premiere was similar to how Olympus went in KH3, with Sombra trying to take over and all. Oh Grogar is from gen 1? I had no idea haha. This was the most locked up i've ever been for avoiding spoilers. I don't even know how many episodes there are this season so I'm already just semi-prepared for the series finale if it's coming up kek.

Maybe because he wasn't "alive" to begin with? (as in "flesh and blood" alive). He's somewhat like a ghost (or "shadow", as they call it). He can easily dematerialize and materialize again. His physical body doesn't seem to be a "thing" anyway. So they didn't really "kill" him (neither this time, nor the previous time) - they just "sent him back into darkness", as Grogar named it.

The way I saw it, Grogar was still a shadow (albeit a shadow gaining some form) the first time we saw him. That's why the power of the crystal heart destroyed him back then, but not this time. This time, Grogar brought back his physical form, which was why the love and light radiating from the crystal heart didn't repel him and keep him from entering the Empire.

"Equestria games s4e24 "- spike finds out that he is a very famouse person in the empire and tries his hardest to make him look special... so now see twilight makes a secret spell to light up fire and then the gaurds add magic taking away spell which just ruins everything and the unicorns/alicorns dont have their magic when an ice cloud hits so now the princesses just standing there doing nothing but look shocked- while spike saves the day twilights kingdom s4e25-26 "- twilight feels like she doesnt belong in a world of being a princess and later on finds out a magic eating monster has hit .. TIREK so after that the 3 princesses (cadence celestia and luna) give their magic to twilight and twilight cant tell anyone bat it tireksends the princesses to tarturas and finds out a 4th alicorn exists- looks for her takes her magic in exchange for her friends later on finds out she still has the magic of friendship - and they pretty much send tirek back and give everyone theyre magic "bloom and gloom s5e4"- Apple bloom is worried about her cutie mark and is concerned that she wont get something related to the apples and has a nightmare that repeats its self multiple times until pincess luna comes and comforts her "make new friends but keep discord s5e7"- discords brings in a huge smooze thingy and the mane 6 including celestia try to stop it but dont sucseed since the smooze got on their horns and tree hugger ends up stopping it "do princesses dream of magic sheep? s5e13"- luna makes a tantapus to punish herslef yet makes matters worse cause the guilt she has in her makes the tantapus bigger and nearly makes equestria a land of nightmares until TWILIGHT help AGAIN "the one where pinkie pie knows s5e19"- i think that this one isnt a huge problem but uhm its funny and stuff- so pinkie knows that shining and cadence are gonna have a baby and cant keep a secret but when they arrive she thinks its time to tell them but it aint- they make matters worse for pinkie with a scavenger hunt "the crystalling s6e1-2 "- AY NEW SEASON NEW PONY! cadence and shining are having a hard time with the unnamed baby- they sow twi that the baby is an ALICORN... the princesses make it a bit of a big deal out of that but its fine- moving on.
