Good day Apprentice and Journeyman Carpenters
In this video we go over another tool NOT found on the tool list. The 7"-9" Magnetic Torpedo Level.
This small level can be used basically everyday while framing and sometimes while hanging gwb. (depending on the work of course) Bonus! Fits in your tool bags.

Klein makes a great torpedo 4 strong magnets offset to work with 3 5/8 studs and 6inch. Also they have one with a light. It’s in the electrical tools section at Home Depot and lowes

I've been using the Milwuakee one. Definitely the best I've tried so far. Strongest magnets, metal casing, and good size.

Can a Torpedo level be postioned on the side/wall horizontaly and tell you how straight ex. a concrete block is?

Most concrete blocks lack a smooth surface for that to work. A torpe8, 2ft 4ft 6ft levels. All use the same little bubble. Accuracy of length of object is why we use larger levels.

Stabila is a good brand. I prefer a torpedo with flat on both sides. For those times I don't wish use a magnet
