I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned, but I really appreciate how you mentioned price and country of origin for each of the levels you featured. Great video!

The magneto looks cool but the hardware on the sides makes it not able to lay on its side to use the level. Plumbers use levels this way sometimes to get the face looking up level front to back and side to side at the same time. Like floor drains and cleanouts

I appreciate this video. I'm a pipefitter out of local 72 and this is a argument we seem to have on every job. They use the milwaukee at our school for the apprentices. I'd like to see the stainless level. It would be a great tool for clean room type work

We had 4 of those Milwaukee levels on site in the standup job box abandoned because they were all missing magnets. Strong! but not build to stay in the level.

I have the Crunch for the 1” locking grips, and the ability to use standard 1/4” bits. As it’s not legal carry in the UK, looking at disabling the locking mechanism.

Checking on the reviews on Amazon for a new torpedo level, from a no name £3 to established tool makers at £18, all were reviewed with inaccurate bubbles. Thought about it, and was just going to buy the cylindrical bubble and use that; instead for now I bought a BandQ own brand which read the same in either horizontal plane, and before unwrapping from its shrink plastic I tested it out for accuracy. Dropped a plumb line making two points on a backboard, and drawing a line between the points. Then set a 90 degree line across the vertical using a protractor. Finally I checked the new level against the horizontal line… and it’s level 👍

I have three of those flange wizard torpedo levels each one reads a slightly different level on the same surface, and 2 of the Milwaukee ones I bought from Home Depot I currently am looking to sell on marketplace because they read very differently placed on the same surface which is unacceptable for me. The only torpedo I have been satisfied with is the discontinued Johnson torpedo.

I have a 5.5in GreenLee but it doesn't say where it's made, just that it's "U.S.A Designed." It also has patent pending on it. It doesn't** have the mirror feature that you mentioned with yours, but it does** have that knob to somehow bend conduits. I'm not familiar with the work required for it, aside from simply leveling something. But it's a useful little gadget. I don't even remember how I got this thing. I think someone gave it to me cause I know I didn't buy it anywhere. Thanks for the insight from your video though, I learned some things. Like the fact that they're called torpedo levels.

I'm not a fan of that Magneto level. Might be perfectly fine, but that riveted sandwich construction does not give me the warm fuzzies. FWIW, I'm a machinist and also do the welding for my employer. I have one of those stronghand levels, and a couple of the Empire. Haven't used the former yet, never seem to have it with me. Nice that you mention the country of origin.

As a Canadian I laughed at the grams per inch chart. We're technically metric but use a sometimes confusing combination of both. Height and weight are imperial but we're clueless as to what that is in metric even though we understand what a kilometre is perfectly well. So on and so on.

those magnets are great until you start accumulating filings. Then they mess up your level if not tended to. The ability to remove the magnet was very important to me
