I said I'd never buy a Dior DLite bag due to the handles and flap opening of the that - that was until I saw it in the cream and black zodiac print - a bag like nothing else in my collection. I have the lady dior and absolutely love it! Including its history and how it’s made. The handles are specifically designed to be 90 degrees against the main body so it shows the “CD” initials when you look at them from above. Also harder to get the bag copied or faked due to the incredible craftsmanship on this design. And very roomy and structured. So glad you decided to keep this - congrats again Steph hope you will get a lot of use out of it as fabric is slightly more care free than leather for sure x

Hi Steph! Thanks for a really helpful informative video. I think this bag is stunning 😍 I’m considering it as a birthday treat to myself later this year, in this exact print as my first Dior bag. I’ve never been that drawn to the Lady Dior but ever since the D-lites came out they have really caught my eye - I think they are a bit more casual but at the same time make a statement. I especially love the strap this version comes with! The thing that’s holding me back is that scary price point…

Thanks for this review Steph. I'm in the same situation you were at this point. I'm in love with the new Jardin d'Hiver print in the darker beige color from FW22 collection. I'm toying between the D-lite and the medium book tote. I already have a medium book tote in a seasonal print and I love it. But, the D-lite in this print is soooo gorgeous. After watching this though, I'm leaning more towards the D-lite, especially since you said Dior can clean it for you.

After looking at many designer bags I couldn’t keep my eyes away from the same bag you purchased but I went with the dark blue zodiac print. I spent the most I’ve ever invested in a handbag on this purchase but I believe I’ll always cherish it and it’s so different from my Louie Vuitton collection. I have the navy and white or cream lady d lite bag. I just got it, so I have only carried it once. I absolutely love it! I liked it when I saw it online,but I thought it would be to small for me. But now that I have it, I am so glad I decided to choose this bag over the book tote. I got so many compliments on this bag the one time I wore it. I also like that it’s not a bag you will spot a lot of others carrying to often.

Beautiful bag 😍!! I have a red lambskin lady Dior and love it! Wondering whether that dark liner might color transfer onto the inside of your bag. I would’ve gotten a white or cream colored one to be 100% sure there would be no color transfer.

I’ve just bought a lady Dior medium in red cherry leather. Always had LV and chanel so this is a very different design for me. I too have concerns about the flap but overall it’s so so pretty I’m going for it.

I love this bag! I have been thinking about getting this for a while. There are not very many videos on this one. I too like the fact that not everyone will be carrying this bag. Thus the reason I got my LV petite Malle and why I like Fendi. Why carry around a bag looks like everyone else but in a different color. Example Chanel CF.

It’s a beautiful bag! Got my ‘Lady Dior’ way back in 2009, they only came in the medium size. What stops me from adding another is the flap… mine is with the zipper on top and I feel it’s better than the flap.Wish they hadn’t changed it. Your bag is surely a piece of art💙

Thanks for sharing Ekta. I've heard that people prefer the flap to the zipper, saying the zipper is hard to get on with so that's interesting that you like it.

I hate zipper. I am really thinking about selling my medium with zipper and buying a new one with a flap. Lady Dior is the bag I wanted the longest and after I got it, I mostly just look at the bag on the shelf because that zipper is so tight and stiff. :( With flap it is so much easier to get things out of the bag.

I have the Lady Dior D-Lite in the grey *reverse* toile de jouy, in the large size (which is no longer available on the website). And I absolutely love it! 😍 I went into Dior, fully convinced that I would be leaving with a Lady Dior in the lovely leather, but when I saw my bag … it was just love at first sight. I kept comparing all the other bags to this one. I don’t have a huge collection of luxury bags, but every time I look at my Lady Dior, I just think - it’s a work of art. I’m actually amazed that it doesn’t cost more than the lambskin, because look at the embroidery!! Have lots of fun with your new bag, it’s beautiful ❤️

That’s true Nessa. The Capucines one seems slightly better designed as you can open it easier & close it. The dlite the fabric almost scrapes on the bag & you have to roll the flap out almost.

I love it. I have a poncho in the same pattern. However I’ve read that the fabric wears prematurely in the handles. See Marquita LV Luxury’s review of hers (book tote I believe) in this fabric.

for the bag insert do you recommend a 1.2mm (thin) insert or the 2mm? i don't want my bag to lose structure but don't know if the 2mm is to thick for this specific handbag. :)

I’ve always loved the shape of the Lady Dior and since starting my collection, I’ve always had my eye on it. However, with the way the flap is structured over the opening, I’ve always been scared of scratching it with frequent use. I’m seriously considering the D-Lite nowadays, especially with all the beautiful designs that they have come out with!

Yeah since there is no back pocket, I put my phone upright in the front slip pocket. Then I put the flap behind my phone so my phone is sort of sticking out of my bag for easy access. The handles are upright when I am carrying the bag so my phone will not fall out anyway. But I agree that it looks awkward and my husband keeps telling me to cover my phone with the flap.

For me it's my dream bag I think ! The first time I saw it I fell just in love with it 😭 The texture and the beautifull print is just - yes beautifull 🥹 I think the version you chose and the red-color and light pink are my favs I would be scared to get it dirty too 🤣 But for real, wish one day maybe I can get it in a few years even if I'm not a lady-type girl I love it 🫶🏻🥹 So, thanks alot for this video, alot of great informations ! You have to be small to wear the strap cross body, I have a larger chest and I look like I am being strangled lol. I still love the bag and switch between carrying by handles and using as a shoulder strap
