If it wasn't for Will Smith's slap that overshadowed everything, this was one of the best moments from this year's Oscars. When Gaga leaned over to whisper to Liza: "I gotcha", that was such a beautiful moment. Say what you want about Gaga, the way she respects and treats her elders like Tony Bennett and Minnelli, it says a lot about her humility and compassion.

When my grandmother died, she had terrible dementia. The ability to talk to someone with dementia/Alzheimer's/etc without being condescending is one of the best ways to help. They aren't stupid, they just forget things. ❤.

Love seeing all the new admirers of Lady Gaga! These two have been friends since circa 2009, one year into Gaga's career, when Liza tuned up backstage to the Monster Ball to see Gaga. Gaga has always won the admiration of musical legends, from Tony to Elton to Cher to Liza to Madonna to Al Pacino to Sting to Barbra... even MJ wanted her to collaborate with her before he passed; its reported she was the only non-legend he requested for his final tour... the list goes on... She is a class act, always this humble, full of such humility and compassion. It's a shame no one could see past the meat dress and theatrics, as she has ALWAYS been like this.

My mom was an absolute hippie growing up, and she took me to see Cabaret when I was just 11 years old. I still remember most of the movie after all these years, and just watched it again for only the second time in my life. What an AMAZING performance by Liza!
