Maybe its just 4/5 takes mixed together, or maybe its prerecorded vocals. But the vocals you are hearing are not all recorded at the time of the video you see. She has done it more often, the muppet special for artpop is another example. Actually very common for this kind of performance and nothing to be ashamed of. But it does account for the insane vocals that we are hearing in this video. Gaga doesnt need to proof shes a great vocalist anyway. Theres so many examples of her extraordinary skill, it makes me neasous of jealousy and i want to kill her.

I admit, I'm really impressed at her voice. Most 'pop' artists use Autotune, and sound terrible live, but as a singer myself, I admire that she's naturally talented, and that she doesn't use the equivalent of musical steroids to sound better than she really is. :) It's the imperfections that make music memorable. Perfection is not only unnatural, it's boring.
