@tuna that's so true! Very accurate, it is insane to think about the way our minds perceive our lives when our mental health is declining and ive always found comfort in listening to Lady Gaga talk about her depression and mental health. All these young people who want to be famous superstars have no idea how much it will ruin their lives. For someone like Gaga, is the money really worth all that she's gone through? A lot of performers end up on drugs, legal or illegal, and have all kinds of mental problems as a result of their careers. Meanwhile, the music industry continues to squeeze the lives out of them to squeeze out every possible penny. For us fans, it's a catch-22, in that we want to support our favorite artists by paying for the music, but by doing so, we're contributing to the toxicity of the business.

Her career has been based in talent first and foremost. Her ability to tap into that well of emotion and make other people feel something exactly what music is about. Secondarily she has been a pillar of strength, bravery, courage, and perseverance for so many. Losing her would really hurt. She has the potential to sway so many people on the edge in the wrong direction. Can't imagine carrying that responsibility on my shoulders. Especially while carrying so much trauma and suffering around. I wish I could take all her pain away and relieve her burden. Help her be as free as her hair..

I don't listen to her genre of music, but I find her fascinating and her lyrics real. She seem like the real deal human. As a fellow chronic pain warrior, I hope she is doing better. I wish her many leftover spoons.

"It's not always easy if you have mental issues to let other people see." You're damned if you do, damned if you don't. If you do, you scare people away or face ridicule, and if you don't they think you're being rude when you set boundaries to protect your mental health. Or, worse, they judge you as lazy/self-centered when you can't meet obligations or expectations. Our culture is not kind to those struggling with mental illness.
