Cutting happens because physical pain and emotional pain cannot exist at the same time. Something my child’s therapist taught us is instead of cutting have her stick her hands in a bowl of ice because it has the same effect. This was genius! Years of going to the Dr and in and out of therapy we never received a simple answer that was so powerful. Also helping your child understand why they do it helps as well because sometimes they don’t know. Gaga explained it well when she said “ Tell me, don’t show me”. Often times your child is just trying to show you they are hurting. Also I learned that if they cut in certain places it’s because of certain trauma they have been through so please keep a close eye and get involved. It’s not just for attention and it’s not just a phase. I’m really grateful they talked about this!

There's so many people that come to light with this fibromyalgia - and it has been an excuse for many so they don't have to work and are all fakes in it. The real and truthful reason Lady Gaga feels this tiredness across her body is because she has such a hectic lifestyle and so may more stresses just like the rest of the world and the people that are here. It isn't a new thing - people have been feeling tired, exhausted and achy in their bodies since long a go and is part of growing older with our bodies. There are reasons for mental health problems but no one wants to really see the truth of it and one of my friends who works in this sector has told me about it - and the world will continue having them because of how people treat each other unless this changes.

Gog is my special sister. I too have fibromyalgia. And I think we’ve had about the same time. Period when she started talking about her body hurting did her there and there and then it was never so consistent really gave me some new breath. She made me feel like I was not crazy. She made me happy to be alive. It’s difficult to get up and know each day that whether you were going to be able to handle the day or not. Some days you were so tired and expend that you just want to lay in bed and sleep. That pretty much equals a no cold day then there are the days when you wake up and you feel not so bad but you have a tooth that’s bugging you and it won’t stop bugging you and now it’s good it’s whole center of evil in your brain and you can’t kick it so there go to family dinner. Or you could have a hip ache which makes it very difficult of you to get up and down. Difficult to move a bed around without a limp which is noticeable and you know other people notice you and makes you uncomfortable. There is our days and I probably you will not believe me but there are days where my hair hurts I’ve had my toes hurt I have the insides of my elbows hurt I’ve had my neck hurt in such a state that I went and had a fusion on my neck I have two shoulders that are not cooperating and starting to hurt quite badly so the list goes on. It took me four years to find out what was wrong with my body. I went from surgeon to surgeon to surgeon. I finally found a rheumatologist in Seattle who gave me the reason to why I was having such crazy responses OK so you get that crazy response and here’s what happens and then what are you supposed to do. How are you, sitting out in the field, nothing to help you but a bunch of grass and a little creek. I wish people would write more about the after facts of having fibromyalgia diagnosed they need to know about their bodies. What they are going to live with in the next 3 to 4 decades. And sometimes not even knowing what those resolves might be. Keep a happy face gaga. I think of you often.

Such a horrible thing to say. Just because she has mental issues and struggles with pain and battles with alot of demons doesn't mean she is crazy or deserves to be in a mental institution. She is a very sane and wise woman that deals with all this and still wants to help others. She is so kind and sweet and you are clearly evil if you think all she does is just attention seeking. When she said some days I have a lot of self love, some days I don’t, I just broke. I’ve been making myself wrong for processing the trauma yet still having “days”. It’s so powerful that you’re speaking about this. A court situation is also what triggered my PTSD and I enrolled in school for psychology and law. I’m a domestic violence survivor who has to deal with the man who abused me (we have a son together) Bc I wasn’t brave enough to bring charges. I want to be in this room with those powerful people - I’m creating domestic violence family law reform that requires use of psychology in the law. Currently survivors can’t talk about mental health because the abuser uses it to claim the mother is unstable and takes custody! IT IS A CRISIS in our family law systems and thousands of children are ripped from the hands of the beaten family member and placed in the custody of the abuser. Phenomenal conversation! Thank you Oprah, thank you Lady Gaga.

I can share ALL of my experience/energy/meet others' demands or requests or needs, IF that feels good and right for me in that particular moment, or SOME (whatever part or portion of it that feels comfortable and good and right for me in that particular moment), or NONE (at all, period, full stop, keeping in mind that "no" is a complete sentence). @@earlaweese lady Gaga is one of the most Humble celebs you will ever meet, she has had experience that changed her forever. Yes she may do that with her money but she doesn’t brag about it, she may take pics and it shows off her money but that will never change the fact that she is so humble. How about you try to see the good in people instead of the bad. Have a better day.🙂

I have fibromyalgia from past 2years. It’s hard to make someone understand.I am just 23years old. It’s painful everyday and every single second. But she gave some hope that I can still work hard. I will put my 100% to achieve my dreams.

54:10 "throw yourself into the moment." Ahh, I've been undecided on my word of the year. My concern is I feel like time is flying by. I use my off days to be a couch potato all day instead of living, doing things. So I brainstormed "advance," "go," "move," "do." But I think I just found my 2020 mantra!

I love Gaga's realness. So many of us are masking walk around appearing strong yet oh so broken. It's okay to need help. People need other people to survive in this life.

valerie jones This woman has millions and millions and millions of people observing her life every single year. Can you imagine the bravery it takes to be this vulnerable in front of the whole world? I mean she gets bigger and bigger each day. Just when we said she was on top, she just won an Oscar and had a #1 movie last year. Its crazy

Hearing Lady Gaga reading her commitment aloud made me cry. Bless her for doing everything in her power to make a better world and to improve studies on mental health. This interview has been such a blessing for me. I also had a breakdown 3 years ago, and I'm slowly trying to rebuild. I went through something similar, feeling pain and doctors finding nothing wrong with me, although hers might have been more severe. I feel better now physically, thank God. I thank God for leading me to this interview because I admire Lady Gaga for her courage to fight and to keep going in spite of the pain and telling me it's okay to be where I am now. I admire her for the way she prays to God. She's also such a kind and sweet woman. God bless you, Stefani Germanotta.

One of the best and most helpful sessions, she is so eloquent about her experiences I really see how clarity in expressing yourself allows the whole world to understand. And she processed her trauma/feelings that is also key. Go on, help the world!
