You ladies are loads of fun. When I was at ESM in 1974, one of the bassoon majors wrote a huge Christmas carol medley for 8 bassoons & two contras, and they performed it on the stairway in the main hall. Also much jollity.

You know, this just made my day. Two of my favorite things, Bassoons and Lady Gaga. If I wasn't the only bassoon at my current highschool I would so do something like this...And I'll be the only bassoon at the college I'm going to next year, also because the only one there currently is graduating...so I don't get to do this...

Ah, you gals sure know how to get the job done. I know how hard it is to March bassoon, I've been doing it since I was 10, and I'm 15 now. Keep up the good work, I'm inspired by you girls.

Wow, since 10.. I started saxophone at 13 and marching tenor at 16.. can’t imagine doing it with a bassoon.

Lauren from our group actually switched from flute to bassoon, and look where she is now! The fingerings are all different, but the way you use your air will be pretty similar.

My band director played this for the 8th graders in class today and told us to watch the video because he only had the sound recording. This is just amazing! Our Bassoon player needs to learn to be this amazing! And If my band director reads this, yes you Mr. Gore, try and figure out which student wrote this, won't be hard. You should do another Quartet, but to a different band with a bunch of their songs just like this. Keep up the amazing work! :)

I remember the first instrument I picked up was a coronet. That was all they offered in 6th grade. When I went to Junior high I saw an old case sitting in the corner of the band room. I asked my instructor what is was and he said it was a Bassoon. On that day I put down the brass and took up the double reed. Best choice I ever made. :)
