I understand that no one should be made to relive their traumatic experiences if they don't want to. But on the flip side, speaking out against sex pests in any industry is a matter of public safety. It's important for people with influence to speak out so everyone knows who's a threat to the safety of all the workers on set (not just actors). Not that she owes it to anyone, but it'd be nice of her to do that so no one else has to deal with the same shitbag. Think of how many women Harvey Weinstein or Larry Nassar hurt before someone said something in public about them.

As a survivor myself, therapy has helped me to a point. But there is a massive difference between sharing your trama with a licensed therapist and sharing it with the World. A therapist is going to support and help you to come to terms with the shame and ptsp. The World, will judge and criticize. Talking about your own SA, can feel like reliving it. Doing that in a safe space is hard enough. The idea of doing it on the world stage is crippling. She survived. No one has the right to judge her on how she continues her trama journey.

I faced my abuser in court to make sure other women would have the opportunity I never had to look him up later and see he served time for the abuse. That way they could have a head's up and make up their mind if they wanted to allow him in their life and pursue dating. I don't know that everyone is ready to go through that horrible personal experience of prosecuting. I felt compelled to protect others and sacrifice myself in the process. It felt like a victory afterward but it was one of the most difficult things I had to do at that point. People have to understand that it's not for everyone so don't judge or victim blame. People need to believe someone if they say it happened even if they don't go forward with prosecuting. What needs to change is the way the court system sometimes allows the defense to revictimize the survivor.

I said no and they threatened me with:”you will never find work in Hollywood again.” So I decided to quit the industry and dedicate myself to sing for the LORD, for the churches, for children festivals ( where no one ever harassed me). Every event I play I tell the youth to watch out and be careful, because that industry destroys people. I sing now religious music and help sick children. I am happy doing that.
