It took me 3 weeks to learn this all the way through without any mistakes. It's an articulate exercise, and impressive to others when you finally nail it. *THIS* is why McCartney is a Genius. Nobody was doing this kind of stuff in the Mid/Late 60's. "Lady Madonna" is a *perfectly written* song, through and through.

Humphrey Littleton was doing this kind of stuff over 10 years before kzbin.info/www/bejne/jp-ml3iwlt53bK8

It's the piano that made this song a hit. Delightful to hear the piano by itself to see how, after all these years.

Being a Beatles fan is so hard sometimes, how am I meant to play that and sing at the same time?
@altosmusiclab22482 жыл бұрын
yes, play and sing together - way to go join me hating great piano players that don't sing!!!

Addams Family hands anyone? Very good - this is a nice intermediate lesson: sometimes people do need not need to be taken through it note by note

Thanks for this - really preserves the vibe of the original. Swings.

Nice! You even put in that little guitar run down part going back in the verse. Love that bit!

Thank you so much for preparing this , I have always loved this song and I am really enjoying following your lessons on how to play it. After only a few days I have the first 3 lessons learned and am up to speed, just the last two to go. For those of us who do not read music your "no sheet music" approach is brilliant. Greetings from Kyiv.

Great playthrough.. I play guitar and can learn quickly by watching the chord hand. However, the piano is coming very slowly to me. I have a nice Roland workstation with ivory feel weighted keys, that I practice with. On the guitar once I know a song about ten of my own songs begin to birth though the new riffs I learned. Thank you :)

I too am a guitarist with a Roland just starting out on the piano.

This is obviously Billy Shears at the piano--- you can tell by the vein on the left hand, Paul had a smaller basilic vein than Billy. Paul also kept his nails shorter.

I, I'm planing on buying a keyboard, and I know nothing about pianos. Can I play any song with just 61 keys? If yes, what are the other 27 keys for?
@Mack_Flöri3 жыл бұрын
You cannot play everything with only 61 keys, you should always go for the 88 version if possible :)
@guillaumes95243 жыл бұрын
@@Mack_Flöri Yeah, but I play guitar and bass and I don't know if I'm gonna enjoy piano that much, so if 61 keys exist, it's for people like me who don't know wether or not they want to commit to piano. 88 keys is min about 100 dollars more than 61 keys. Also, I want to play pimarily beatles songs. Is 61 keys enough for these types of songs?
