This is so pretty! I'd love to see you do Lady Ediths hair from the later seasons. Her fingers waves were gorgeous!

I'm a 63 year old woman who greatly enjoys ALL of your videos--especially the ones with fancy braids and Beauty Beacons. I'm amazed at all of the beautiful hair styles you are able to create entirely on your own on your own head. Have you recreated a classic Japanese geisha look yet? I believe geishas often wore elaborate wigs, but you're so clever, I'm sure you could create the look with your natural hair.

Wow this is a lot easier than I thought it would be when I first saw it but wow I could actually do this haha, thanks I love love your channel, especially the historical looks, real or fiction. You really are one of, if not the best on KZbin for anachronistic looks especially the hair. And I feel like I actually learn more about the time period and the women themselves too than from other channels, thanks!

@raraavis77827 жыл бұрын
Sighs...I tried to recreate that hairstyle many times and I did exactly what you did...but it always looks terribly dishevelled after only 2 hours or so. And I should have the perfect kind of hair for it...thick and wavy. Even if I twist it harder it starts to come apart after a while. I don't get how people get their hair to stay in place with just 2 or 3 pins...😕
@Loepsie7 жыл бұрын
Remember that this is a TV hairstyle - someone actually comes in to fix it every 10 minutes off camera :) Made for aesthetics, not practicality!
@raraavis77827 жыл бұрын
Loepsie True ☺. But I would love to know if they used some kind of cushion or roll to support the rolls of hair at the side. With Sybil, the hair is smoothed back further than you did and then the hair is rolled or twisted in beautiful loose(looking) rolls. I think there must be some kind of trick to it...I mean, they can't have done it in way that would have required more than superficial touch ups, redoing it during the filming would have been to time consuming. Or maybe it was hairpieces they just had to pin in place 😁
@raraavis77827 жыл бұрын
Onion Face Oh yes, with gel or mousse it works much better. I try to avoid using products in my hair though, unless it's for a special occasion. I use plant haircolour (darkbrown) so washing them often is not a good idea...the dark brown turns very reddish at the roots after a couple of washs 😀. The colour is plenty persistent in the length, but the newly coloured parts are always a problem...and I haven't been able to find a product that doesn't leave them looking matte and dishevelled without washing the next day.
@Bumbeltz7 жыл бұрын
I have quite fine slippery hair and love victory rolls and such. To make them stay I backcomb my hair, use texturing spray and tons of hairspray. It's good to backcomb where you plan on anchoring it as well so the pins has a spot to stick to. Hope it helps a bit
@raraavis77827 жыл бұрын
Teresia Lidin Oh...I know what backcombing is, of course, but I've never dared do it to my hair. It always had a tendency to become 'bushy' from the chin down anyway...from the chemical hairdye I used to use until a year ago. I thought backcombing would likely make it even rougher over time. Maybe I should give it a try, now that it's not damaged from the dye anymore. Thanks for the suggestion ☺

@cuuberofficial7 жыл бұрын
My dear. Your skin is beautiful the way it is. Do not fall into the trap of thinking one skin type is more beautiful than the other. Love your skin the way it is, and who cares about lightening and changing. Don't change your body to make others happy,love your body and your confidence will shine through.
@Loepsie7 жыл бұрын
Even if I knew how to lighten skin (which I don't, I'm afraid), I don't think it's a good idea to do that... There's absolutely nothing wrong with dark skin. It's beautiful, protects you from the sun, and it's YOURS :) Please don't do anything dangerous to change yourself!
