This is incredible live coverage that is going on right now! A baby crow was brought in as prey to the White Rock bald eagle nest yesterday. The baby crow started begging for food and the parent did not kill it but instead started to take care of it as if it was their own one or two day old eaglet! Just amazing!! This eagle couple have a 27 day old eaglet in the nest and had another egg laid that was not viable and broke. One hypothesis is that the eagles feel this crow is their other chick that never hatched and are brooding it and providing shade.
The crow parents were seen dive bombing and bombarding the nest at 4:07 as they are understandably upset knowing their baby has been taken from them. How will this play out? Will the crowlet be able to be fed and survive until it can fledge? So many unknowns at this point but truly nature is amazing! Thank you for watching!

Then , the way she covered its body up carefully & sat with it & her baby for a few hours.. ❤ Eventually she moved the lil body out so the adult crows could see it , to stop swooping & cawing. Wow Eagles really amaze us and continue to do the craziest things.This little crow became a crow-let as the parents accepted it and started treating it as their own. I think it could survive if the parents will feed it. The eaglet seemed to like this new snuggle sibling, but then was the eaglet sitting on it to keep it warm or to smother it? I HOPE NOT TO SMOTHER! Thank you for the video 👒Lady Hawk👒 we can pray for the best 🙏 ❤️🦅🐥🐤🦅❤️ 🥰

I don’t think that the baby crow will survive for long, because baby eagles snatch the food from their parent’s beak, but crows put the food into the wide-open mouth and almost into the throats of their babies... that baby crow will not snatch meat out of the bald eagle’s beak, IMHO... But of course, I am praying that this baby row will be successfully raised by the Eagles, and be able to fledge and live out it’s life...

Your argument is illogical from the standpoint that you point out that crows eat baby birds. What the hell, then, are the eagles doing? I have absolutely no issue with how nature works. I get it. I was posting an emotional response to a video, which is my right, and I was judged by another poster that I knew nothing about nature. The type of birds that have babies that have their mouth wide open is a trigger for the parent to put food down into their baby’s throat. Eaglets snatch the food from their parent’s beak. I don’t think anybody’s read my comment, and I’m no expert, but I do observe birds and have my whole life. The feeding styles of crows and small birds versus raptors are entirely different. Crows and small birds are triggered to feed their young by the wide-open mouth and the chirping of their young. They shove food down into the crop of their babies. Eaglets snatch the food from their parent’s beak... these Baldeagle parents simply will not put food down into the open mouth of the baby row. The baby crow will not peck out the food the eagle offers it, either. It still hasn’t stop me from praying that I am wrong, because I love a happy ending, and want them all to live!

Lady Hawk, go look at the Hancock live stream. A black crow is dive bombing the eagle nest...maybe it is the mom crow?

I am a bit surprised that the (much bigger) eaglet is not "bonking" the baby crow, or just trying to eat it.

First Harriet brings in a stuffed squirrel to the miracle E's, now this family brings in a baby crow. Nature is amazing. I sure hope it makes it and doesn't accidentally get punctured by the eaglets talons or by bonking. I feel bad for the crow parents wanting their baby back. ❤

I’ve been following this as well. Amongst the scaps I have is one where the Eagle brought food in and it looked like a crow.. parent, sibling?

Two sibling crows were brought in and eaten before this one was brought in.

Oh Dear !! I’m hoping they feed him, not kill him. On the other hand I wish the baby’s crow’s parents could get him back. But we’ll soon find out one way or the other. Thanks Lady Hawk for always being on the lookout 😊

Ppl dumb as hell in these comments most of yall seem to not understand that one of the Adult eagles purposely put the baby crow in that nest so that their beloved baby eaglett can devour the baby crow!

Heard this baby crow died. And eagles didn’t feed him. He was suffocated by eaglet weight. Crow baby requested food right in front of eagle asking for food to feed him! Raised himself so high to eagles mouth! Sad he died.....

Ladyhawk..will the eagles be able to feed this baby? Poor little fella!!
@carolynnunes3922
@carolynnunes3922 4 жыл бұрын
Hi there Shelley. I know that the feeding styles of eagles and crows are entirely different. Eaglets snatch food from their parents beak, whereas birds such as crows and finches and small birds have babies that hold their beaks wide open, which is a trigger for their parents to shove food down their throat’s and into the crop. Personally, I have prayed to our heavenly Father that this will have a wonderful outcome, and that the baby crow (or raven) be raised successfully, and fly away and live it’s life, but I fear that that is not to be. But as a romantic, I want this to have a happy ending, and that baby crow lives!

We don't know if the eagles will feed the baby crow. There is no documented case studies that a crow has ever been raised in an eagle nest before. David Hancock Biologist and wildlife specialist said that it is possible for the baby crow to survive if fed, but we just saw a feeding of the eaglet and the baby crow was not offered any food. The eagle parent then offered shade for the crow afterwards. I would like to believe that this little one can survive but the odds are stacked against it.

Im a bit confused how did the baby crow get into the nest? Who brought it as food? The parents of the crow are nearby! This is very interesting to see if it makes it as an adopted eaglet..😊♥️ A parent eagle brought it or a human brought it as food?

Strangest thing I’ve ever seen. I’m glad to here that their diet is similar. Only thing I’d worry about is the portion size they would feed it. His mouth sure does open wide 😊
