Wow! What a journey I M 15 has been through this year. I am so happy for these two eagles. What a great story can’t wait for these to eagletts to be welcomed in this eagle family. It’s amazing wonderful just thinking of everything I am 15 went through this year now with F 23 she is awesome. She is doing such a good job, mommy eagle feelings kicked in. I love it. @Lady Hawk my dearest friend and 🦅 Ambassador... Do we know yet how the "Positively thinking" soon-to-be Eaglets at SWFL with F23 will be named? Some may not enjoy the bonking here at this nest but may I say it prepared every Fledged Harriet and M15 offspring through ultimate survival tests and I personally believe E22 is nearby which helps me to cope with love and loss. @@chrisc2007 Hi Chris yes the eaglets will be named E23 & E24 ...carrying on in the tradition of all the E's hatched since the cam went live in 2012/2013. M15 is in his element now with eggs and having F23 in the nest rather than flying off every which way in her single days lol :) I think we will have two little bonkers this season - F23 is pretty aggressive and those genes will be passed down. But with M15 as their Dad he will keep them both well fed and we will get through it :) I love watching their resiliency it has helped me through much loss and difficulty especially this past year. Yes, M is one Proud Papa! I'm impressed with Lady F23 being so attentive to their eggs since we figure this is her first clutch. Awesome that Bald Eagles have so many innate behaviors. They are highly intelligent because as Nestlings they observe and soak up all that learning behaviors into their brain and remember! Supposedly the Pritchetts said on their FB page a couple months ago, that Mrs. M was going to be given a proper name after laying her 1st egg...I'm going to check around and see if that's happened yet. Hello Leo the eggs are about the size of a tennis ball or baseball. The offspring will come back to the nest after they first fledge and hang around the nest tree for a few weeks before they depart. After they leave we do not see them return to the nest.
