I thought Simba was going to be small like Stormy but he is big, as big as mom, he's beautiful. Thanks for the video LH, very nice to see mom and Simba together like that. Mom looks tired and weary, she has been through so much this season and last season, she needs a long rest.

Beautiful! I love seeing them quietly perch together. I notice that Jackie stayed out of Simba’s pathway to the high perch - you can even see her leaning her body a bit to the left at first! Took me a while to figure out why she might be leaning like that!

Hello Angelina - Shadow roosts in a nearby tree - he always has done this. He does keep a close eye on the territory as we have seen him defend it. I have seen Shadow sometimes roost in the nest tree out of our view. :)

Millicent Gordon No. If you listen to the audio you can hear him call to them. He’s letting them know that he is at his Dad post so they can tuck in for the night. He is off camera but in a nearby tree. His main duty as a father and mate is protection.

Hi Nadine I was referring to the fact that Simba will be leaving to start his journey in a few weeks and we don't know how much time he will spend on the nest. Most fledglings start to spend more and more time off the nest - so special moments like this are to be cherished. Tonight Simba is home with Mom so we had another great evening!!
