TY so much for the longer version, LadyHawk! This version shows how deliberate Shadow was in teaching Simba - not just a tussle over food! Simba did not have a sibling to grab at his food constantly teaching him to protect his prey. So Shadow does a great job purposely going after Simba's meal making him react to a possible steal over and over again till the very last bite. Great teaching/learning Dinner! TY so much, LadyHawk!

I learned from seeing this; the explanation was absolutely great (thank you, Lady Hawk). I put this on my FB page, and used it to explain -demonstrate how much of life goes on in this world of ours. there are many conflicts---between people, nations and animals in nature. competing for space, for food, for mates, etc. but----it God's heaven, all that will not exists anymore. Animals will exist together peacefully, not having to fight for food or anything else. I do beleve that is the case. how great will THAT be to see!!!! (I do realize that here on earth, these animals absolutely need the survival skills they can get from their parents; without it they would not be able to survive for long).

Shadow = 'tolerant teacher'. Lesson = defend & eat Simba = A+ (done & dusted) Hopefully, Simba takes on a bit of dads patient and QUIET demeanor,lol (approx 32:40 its evident his crop is bulging. Shadows crop is non apparent) Simba's Lesson Review: "Its MY fish! I do not share! I can squawk non-stop AND eat, at same time! Even IF my crop is totally STUFFED, I continue to eat! Its MY fish, BACK OFF!" ~~~~~ Thank you ever-so-much for uploading this brilliant family and their lives. An absolutely priceless experience for myself and many many others. Bravo!

That was indeed epic! Shadow is a good Dad , a test at how to protect & eat food faster! 🙂💖 Sure I heard Mum in the distance too. Notice Simba has a few new notes to his vocabulary, even when on another tree , you can hear his flutey tunes & calls 🙌😁 It was nice to see him & Dad share, even tho a test , good to see Simba is learning survival skills. What about his perfect fly in there? He's getting good. Thanks for sharing LH 🦅💖🐱♏☮

He is learning "less sqeeing and more eating!" Other birds dont care how much noise he makes: it just gives them a better chance of stealing his food. The faster he eats the better for him. Shadow is teaching Simba that just because he mantled the food doesn't mean he is home free. He will have to fight for every scrap he gets. It is a cruel world out there.

As your title states, EPIC! This video today, shows Simba is learning from Jackie and Shadow all what he needs to know to begin his own adventures and onto eventually finding his own mate and having his own eaglets! Oh, if we could see that! Thank you, Lady Hawk, I love all of your videos, but I have to say this is my favorite! Thank you!

Can’t believe Simba grabbed that fish so fast. Well Shadow thought that was going to be an easy steal. Ha, Simba has shown he’s a force to be reckoned with. So proud of him. I must say though Shadow did want that fish tail. 😀 All I can say is they must be a tasty morsel to an eagle.
@emmalove1355 жыл бұрын
Well, this appeared to be a little birdie argument over who’s got the fish. Evidently Simba could not have consumed that whole fish, as dad came to claim the balance of it when Simba was getting ready to rest belong satiated with what he had consumed. I still saw some sharing. So, dad is not totally neglected. Shadow stayed with Simba for a long while. Thank you for this footage Lady Hawk. ( Superb 👍👍)

Oh my! Simba is indeed a noisy lil critter. It cannot be easy to continue "talking" as he eats. Hush Simba...IF Shadow truly wanted THAT fish...he would have already snatched it and flew off. I wonder IFJackie watched this from afar? Had she been in nest would she have had this sorted?
@joanbrennan25345 жыл бұрын
I think Jackie likely would have chased Shadow out if nest and then prob fed Simba beak to beak. 😂

Berserker, well said! But at 40:09 Shadow goes over to eat! Ya think he didn’t need to eat after all? He should eat at the lake if he found one fish and bring the second one to the young ones! That’s what human should do? But we don’t! LOL so birds won’t do that either and once the Mom and Dad doesn’t eat and starve, whose gonna watch the young ones??? Portions should be considered....lol
