Poor Simba. So glad he got back to the nest. He's pretty hungry and has to mantle and protect the fish that is left. Right now the only way he gets to eat is if mom or dad brings him something. It's a tough big world out there, and he's finding that out. I was glad to see him eating after mom & dad left. He's used up a lot of energy these past couple of days. I would have liked to see a great big fish for him. He's still hungry. Simba is making new sounds too now, so cute! He's glad to be back. There's no place like home.... Thanks Lady Hawk! At first, he softly squees at mom. Almost sounds affectionate. In the other videos, both mom and dad looked bedraggled. I had no idea they had gone through a hail storm. So glad to see Simba back at the nest.

Hi Marley - most eaglets do return to their nest but some take longer than others. Some return within a few hours and others in days or weeks later! Simba actually returned rather quickly!!

Last year at this site and time, Stormy almost killed me to return to the nest. Not sure what this kid relation to that guy is but Simba's nickname could be: "Speedy Gonzales"! If Mr. Noel Blank has no objection here.
