The way E25 is right behind E24 as if sizing up its sibling: To bonk or not to bonk, then does it anyway, lets out a chirp at Mom and lo and behold gets the next bite !!!! ♥️♥️

I realize its probably due to a consistent healthy food supply keeping the more dominant E24 calm, but its nice to see E25 as the less dominant sibling holding up strong and establishing a little respect for itself, by fighting the bonking battle well enough, and persisting in going for the food without cowering. Good job baby!

Always being overlooked or having to wait on my 2 older siblings was my 😊😊entire childhood.... I always felt sad because of it, so I don't Like the bonking and the smaller eaglet always having to wait/eat last😞😊

Stop it? M15 is an animal. Do you really think M15 was flying and said to itself, "I need to get a grass blanket to keep my kids warm. " LMAO. You people are pathetic. The eagle was so stupid it covered the chicks!!
@maryannwaruszewski42299 күн бұрын
@TomHastings-k1m Yes, I do think M15 was thinking exactly that. Wildlife have survival instincts. They also have instinctual behavior to care for their young. Otherwise none of what we are watching would happen. M15 is NOT STUPID. Why does enjoying them bother you so much? They are beautiful.

You are pathetic. Eagles do not think. Stop it. M15 is doing what instinct is letting him do. Just like hundreds of eagle nests around the world. All male and female eagles do the same.

@TomHastings-k1m **stalker alert** did you not see F23 nearly flipped over by the wind? Protecting them with a cover of grass is exactly what M15 was doing. It's basic physics - look it up. And we all know eagles know - they survive on intuition

Lady Hawk how many eaglets did Ossie and Harriet raise, and how many did M15 and Harriet raise? I’m asking because is E25 the count of all eaglets raised at this nest? Thanks ❤
@m.theresa138510 күн бұрын
The E numbers started in 2012/2013 after cameras were set up. Ozzie and Harriet were in another nest earlier and had been together longer than the three years documented up until Ozzie was injured, healed, then re injured and died. M15 was chosen from the suitors fluttering around Harriet. They mated and two eggs were produced. E7 & E8 they both survived though there were some issues with owl attacks, and issues requiring service from CROW. Nonetheless, they both fledged. Harriet’s last eaglet was E22 which successfully fledged. E23 was M15 &F23’s first, and these two E24 & E25 are their second and third. Lots more details in Wikipedia under Southwest Florida Eagle Cam, or search Ozzie and Harriet Florida eagles. Cheers!

Another classic M15 video, thank you Lady Hawk. Question please, at what age do the little eaglets usually take their first PS & it must be instinct to aim off the nest when they do finally go? Also when you use the term “food coma” after they eat a lot, is it really a type of coma in bird-life or just a slang term? Thanks again & enjoy your weekend.
@sailwme10 күн бұрын
This novice thinks the food coma is like a high bodily satisfaction from eating until your full, including the exertion of eating.
