Great, but with my semi-industrial this isn't possible in that first stitch - I always go in 1/2" from the edge to avoid the bulk. Great idea

Have you tried doing it with the exterior facing up? You'll get great looking stitches that way.

How far down do you do your snap placement on the exterior that will affect the rectangle ? So if I understand your lines are 3.5 inches front each topstitching. Great idea
@RogueStitches2 жыл бұрын
That's right, it's approximately 3.5" from each topstitching line. Honestly, I don't measure my snap placement. I have another video that will be up soon that talks about snap placement. I audition each wallet individually to make sure the snap placement is perfect, but it usually comes out to be centered approximately 1 3/4" from the front edge of the wallet AFTER the exterior has been sewin and topstitched. Look for that video on Friday (1/7).
@elizabethpiczko1582 жыл бұрын
@@RogueStitches so I place my snap about 2 to 2 1/4 .

Not of this particular wallet. I used crazy quilt squares I had started years ago when I fancied I'd make my daughter a quilt as a graduation gift. She got cash because the quilt never got made. lol
@lindascraftsandthings915 Жыл бұрын
I'm not understanding this. If you sew any lines across the middle section of the zippered part you attached, won't that effectively close up the bottom part of that zippered rectangle? Thereby making the bottom part inaccessible to use? What am I missing? Thank you.
@RogueStitches Жыл бұрын
This is specific to the Necessary Clutch Wallet by Emmaline Bags. It is a more advanced sewing pattern. In this pattern, there's only one side of the divider which is a zippered pocket. You aren't supposed to be able to reach all the way through. It also closes up the bottom of the pocket lining for you. The pattern has you sew a rectangle on the bottom. This is my hack for that bottom part.
