I stoped shaving a little over a year ago because of my depression and lack of energy (so i wasn't taking the best care of myself). The fog has lifted these past few months so i decided to shave and i didn't really like it especially when the hair started to grow back it was so fkin itchy lol. Now i just trim here and there and i think i look better and i feel very free! I would totally recommend that everyone lets their hair grow out at least once in their lifetime. You may be pleasantly surprised by the experience!

Exactly the same for me! The only reason i started shaving when i was in middle school was because some girl in gym class noticed my BARELY noticeable leg hairs and commented aloud how gross it was, while my sisters at home would always comment on how gross my hair was and ask why i didn't shave everywhere, including my privates, even going as far as to try waxing my arms. Really freaking stupid. Trust me, they will get rid of your eyebrow hair if they could(i mean all of it). I even started wearing make-up because of them. I NEVER even got a bad look from a guy, let alone a bad word. Guys like to focus on body shape, boobs and butt(not that i cared, but it was obvious). About a year later, i stopped living with them and realized how stupid it all was, so i stopped ALL OF IT. I don't get people sneering about me anymore, i even get compliments! But i realized it all has to do with the people you associate with in your life, the people you keep hanging around. The phrase, "You Are The Sum Of The 5 People Closest To You" is no joke. So don't keep those sisters too close, at least i didn't and don't. XD Far better off without their misguided influences.

Naomi G I understand your point but I will tell you that I have been told since I was twelve that my body hair was gross and I had to shave it. My mother told me that I needed to shave or no one will love me and I won’t be accepted in society because I would be seen as disgusting. I’m not saying “everyone says girls can’t have body hair I feel supressed society sucks!” No. I’m just saying that a fair amount of people are told that it’s gross. I've been shaving my... lower region long before I even knew why women felt it was necessary to shave down there. Mainly I did it because it made me feel soft and... feminine in a way. Now I shave because it makes me feel empowered and sexy. Almost like a secret, I'm just walking by like "yeah, I'm hair-free and you don't know about it" *wink*. I firmly believe that women should do whatever makes them feel empowered. If shaving makes you feel empowered, do it. If growing it all out makes you feel empowered, do it. If you like dressing modestly or showing as much skin as possible, then do it. Women can feel empowered by doing whatever makes them feel comfortable in their own body. I have had people say shit about my arm hair and when I shaved it many people started asking "why?" and tbh I feel better without it but my scar is more prominent now (I have been told it looks like a white Caterpillar always nesting on my elbow ). So I have now realised I will always be self conscious about something because people will ALWAYS point everything out (I also have red spots on my arms / scarring from picking on my arm and I have had people point that out and ask why I have that )

As a man, I’m really ok with women’s body hair. There was a time when underarm hair on a woman was shocking, but not any more. It’s just a natural thing, doesn’t offend me at all. As for the “downstairs” I’ve always preferred a bush, but then I’m an older guy. Leg hair, depending on how thick and dark it is, can be ok, unless the look is for bare legs. Under dark tights, no big deal. Some women have very light leg hair and might never need to shave. In general, you do you.

Stuti Mohan if you want to wax I would ask your parents first to make sure they’re ok with it and yes waxing will most likely hurt I personally haven’t tried waxing but I have some friends that have waxed and say it hurts super bad and some say it doesn’t hurt that’s bad if you really want to trim up hair down their I have used scissors and it works fine just make sure you don’t snip your skin with scissors if you decide to use them
