You definitely never know what he'll do next in a song, partially because he CAN do literally anything, and also because he is a master of the pause and the silence, building anticipation. That little hum at the end, for example, surprised everyone! ❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍

Dimash’s voice is so delicate and breathy here but he is still in total control. He conveys the pleading in the lyrics so beautifully. The fact that it looks so easy means he is putting in all his vocal tricks. Dimash really is the vocal master.

This song is so beautiful and apparently he did a wonderful job of not only lyrics and accent but also the suble meaning behind each heartbreaking cry. I'll let someone else more knowlegable tell you the story of the song. 🤗❤❤ I love watching your appreciation of 'your husband from another life'😄

You can compare this to the Chinese adaptation of this song he did on episode 4 of Singer 2017 called "Late Autumn". If you go to Gloria Wu's (or G Wu) KZbin channel, she calls it "Autumn Strong", and besides the English subtitles, she has intros for a number of songs on Singer 2017. Also see her treatments for Episode 7 "Daididau" and Ep.8 "Daybreak", which not only goes into the tragic story behind the song, but also the fact that Dimash lost his voice the day before having to sing. Be sure to use the "cc" button on her intros so you can see what Dimash is saying. She also has behind the scenes footage of Dimash at the competition, and interviews with Dimash and his family members - all with Eng. subtitles.

I've seen every single performance of Autumn Strong BY Dimash that is online and love every version of the song. I know the entire story of the actress which was very sad but she did go back to visit China in her later years. I was born in Japan after the war and know how much prejudice existed against Japanese everywhere. My father was an American airman who could not marry my mother and was immediately sent back to the states right after Congress changed the law to allow soldiers to marry Japanese. I was 2 years old at the time. He climbed the base fence went awol to let mother know what was happening to him as they kept him from returning to our home where he lived with us. Gloria Wu's story is incomplete and not quite accurate but still gives you a sense of her tragic downfall from the heights of stardom to her arrest and accusation of being a spy. Also keep in mind Gloria Wu drops a half tone in the Song to prevent copyright infringement. I prefer an original version of the Singer Autumn Strong to hear the true Dimash voice. Dimash's channel has a slightly different version from the concert in Kiev Ukraine. Also very haunting and beautiful.

The original song Ikanaide (Koji Tamaki composed music and Goro Matsui wrote lyrics) was not about the Chinese born Japanese actress that is the subject of the Chinese adalptation of the music. It was about a beloved leaving a spouse or lover (likely an imminent divorce). Later a Chinese tv series in China about a beloved Chinese born actress of Japanese heritage in World War II whom the Chinese audience did not know was Japanese and who was deported to Japan when it was discovered. The producers heard the melody of Ikanaide and wanted to use it for the tv series theme song. They got permission to use it and wrote Chinese lyrics for the tv series which became a huge sensation in China due to the subject matter. This new Chinese song was Autumn Strong. Dimash first sang the Chinese song Autumn Strong in the Singer competition 2017 and it was absolutely gorgeous. He had the audience in tears as he sang the song. The Chinese Autumn Strong is still one of Dimash's favorites to sing at his solo concerts and is well worth listening to separately keeping in mind it is a much gentler song as the Chinese wrote it. The title actually is closer to "Late Autumn" or "The Meaning of Autumn". It was meant to evoke a gentle sadness and feeling of fate and inevitability of the coming of autumn into winter or the end of things. It was perfectly sung. Ikanaide is a much more intense and emotionally charged song evoking pleading and desperation. Autumn Strong is meant to be more heartfelt and gentle in it's rendition. Both are beautiful songs but have a different meaning at heart. I can't stand it when someone compares Ikanaide to Autumn Strong. Vastly different songs with different meanings. Dimash sings BOTH as they SHOULD be sung perfectly and BOTH are gorgeous songs. Keep that in mind when you listen to Autumn Strong.

👉The Chinese (Autuumn Strong) and Japanese (Ikanaide/ Please, Don’t Go) versions have completely different lyrics.. Both are based on a true story. The Chinese version shows the image of leaves dancing in the autumn wind as a metaphor for how fate affected Yoshiko Yamaguchi's life. ...sad but inevitable and irrevocably The Japanese version does not want to accept the loss, is full of pain, pleads, suffers ... heartbreaking. I'm totally fascinated by how sensitively Dimash distinguishes and conveys to the listener the feelings of sadness and loneliness in the Chinese version and loss and pain in the Japanese version. Even his whisper and his breath are music... it breaks my heart and the tears keep flowing.I have never heard anything like this from a singer in my entire life. That is true mastery. The original Japanese version Ikanaide/ Don’t Go(composed 1989) is by Koji Tamaki (*1958, Japanese songwriter). The sad true story... very touching: It is about Yoshiko Yamaguchi (*1920-2014), a Chinese-born Japanese actress during World War II. She hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li XIanglan and became famous in China. However, when the war was over and she revealed her identity, she was accused of being a spy. She was deported to Japan and longed for China. Ms. Yamaguchi did not return to China until many years as deputy environment minister in the Japanese parliament. The song is a metaphor as the lyrics speak of how a person should hide what they are feeling. Koji Tamaki sent a wonderful message to Dimash, thanking him, and praising him for singing his song in Japanese. Vbloggers, they reacted to the original by Koji Tamaki, they are mesmerized and can't stop listening to him. He wrote many wonderful melodies - you should check it out: Koji Tamaki 2021, Ikanaide - kzbin.info/www/bejne/haHKn4BogsiWebM In 1993, Jacky Cheung (*1961, singer and actor in Hongkong) adapted the song into Chinese Mandarin, calling it Late Autumn: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqWwY3ipnK13aa8 The most famous interpretation In China (first performance at the Singer 2017) was that of Dimash Qudaibergen and it was his first time to sing in Chinese mandarin: Dimash - Autuumn Strong - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZ7MY5aMns-Xg9E This song brought Dimash the 'Best Foreign Singer' award at the Golden Melody Award 2017 (equivalent to the Grammy) in Hong Kong. * Great performance (Chinese version) of Dimash from Kiev 11.03.2020, the last concert before Corona paralyzed everything: kzbin.info/www/bejne/amSaenipea6NnKc * Other version of Dimash: In Moscow on March, 2019 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5bag2t4pMhlZ6s

👉 My warmest congratulations to all women on today's day of honor! March 8th is a special day for women all over the world because it is International Women's Day. This day was established over 100 years ago. The idea came from women's rights activists in the USA. The day is a symbol of equality between men and women. In 1977, International Women's Day was recognized by the United Nations as a mainstream global holiday. This day is a public holiday in about 25 countries.

This is a great song. This is the Japanese version of Autumn Strong. Which you need to react to the Gloria Wu version, because it actually explains the whole story that goes with this song, and Autumn Strong. Autumn Strong is this same song, just sang in Chinese instead of Japanese.

Actually it is not. It is common misunderstanding. . 'Ikanaide' has completely different story, lyrics and meaning.... It was later adopted and re-written to a movie as an "Autumn Strong". 😄

It's too bad. I was really hoping you'd react to the live performance of this one, but it is what it is, but I ain't mad at you 🙂 You still my girl . I don't think the live version had the English subtitles anyway so this one's good for that. The song was written by Japanese composer and songwriter Koji Tomaki. Goro Matsui, the poet/lyricist (not songwriter) of the song happened to watch Dimash sing the song "by chance" and he told Dimash's fanclub in detail about his experience in an interview. He said he heard other singers sing the song in their own language but Dimash did it in Japanese and in that he was able "to capture the sound and the meaning of the original lyrics", as well as, express and convey them, and also "to perceive the emotions between the lines of the song" which is very important.

This song the way he is singing it is much harder than it looks, taking those notes to breath is very hard and you have to have complete control otherwise it will crack or just come out very wrong. But our Dimash makes everything look effortless 🙂🙏. The songs name sounds like E Ka Nie eday. Totally not how we would think to pronounce it. He is not adding a breath sound he is taking the song all the way down to where the note is barely floating and finally it arrives to breath... incredibly hard to do.

"Ikanaide" (please don't go) Lyrics by Goro Matsui Music by Koji Tamami anything I can't see anything I have been crying all the time But it's not because of sadness It's because of the happiness comes from the warmth when you touch me ah don't go, please don't go away ah please never let us be separated ah don't go, please don't go away, just stay by my side always Someday someday you're heart will be somewhere far away and everything will turn into a memory though I'm better now though I'm better now ah don't go, please don't go away at anytime, please don't ever let go ah don't go, please don't go away please never let us be separated ah don't go, please don't go away, just stay by my side always (Goro Matsui lyricist praised Dimash for this performance saying "I've heard "Ikanaide" sung by foreign singers in my motherland tongue many times, but it is the first time for someone to sing it so beautifully in Japanese")
