Dimash has a voice that you hear once in a lifetime. The song itself is beautiful. This is a cover. The song was written by an established Japanese composer about a Japanese lady who lived in China before the war. She was an actress, a big star in China, audiences loved her, but she had to hide her ethnic identity because of the ill feeling towards the Japanese. However, it was discovered, and she had to leave China, never to return. This song captures the feelings of longing for the life lost, the melancholy, the ache for that kind of love that can never be found again and Dimash not only sings it beautifully in terms of technicality but conveys the emotion. Such a great performer.

Who is Dimash? From Kazakhstan, beginning his singing career at age 5 (he's 29 now), Dimash was accepted into the most distinguished music academy in his country. His range extends from the top of the bass register to the highest notes of the coloratura soprano and whistle register. His first digital music album "ID" went platinum in only 37 seconds after release, and 3x platinum in only one hour, and 5x platinum in only one day on Chinese music platforms In December 2019, he made his US debut in New York at the Barclays Center. Dears (those he calls his fans) traveled from 68 different countries, 43 states & 2 US territories, and was sold out. Now writing his Doctoral thesis for a PhD in Musicology/ Composing, received all his degrees with honors while simultaneously filling arenas and maintaining his performing career, a first! He has a bachelors degree in vocals, a master's degree in composition and is about to complete his PhD in musicology this year. Dimash Qudaibergen (di-MOSH Koo-dye-BEHR-gen) is a talented artist from Kazakhstan who began his formal training at the age of 5. He is professionally trained in opera, contemporary music, and musical theater. Sadly this is the only Japanese song he has sung, although he has performed in the Tokyo Jazz Festival for 3 years in a row. But for the 20th he presented the cover of Ikanaide in Japanese. You should watch the original singer/composer Koji Tamaki. Ikanaide means Don't Go. Lara Fabian is well known in the fandom of Dimash, as Dimash is a big fan of Lara. FYI, if you watched this video from his KZbin page, he has English subs on it, the one on the Tokyo Jazz page does not.

Dimash is considered one of the best vocalists of all time, and is setting a new standard for vocal technique/performance/flexibility in our time. Lara Fabian is one of his biggest idols as he was growing up; he has covered several of her songs and sang with her a couple of times as well. He's not only talented, but also is one of the most humble artists you could ever see, just like Lara Fabian!

Dimash is definitely a gift from God! He’s from Kazakhstan and has been training since the age of 5. His parents are both singers. Music courses through his veins. Lara Fabian is one of his idols, and they have sung together. You have probably heard her do “Adagio” - he does that song on the Singer Chinese competition from 2017. Also A Chinese version of this song (Ikanaide) called “Autumn Stong.” For that one, look it up on Gloria Wu’s channel, as she has the backstory to the song - it is indeed a sad song. Ikanaide means “Don’t Go.” Looking forward to more Dimash reactions from you! Most people start their journey with SOS. I like the Singer 2017 version, which catapulted him to fame overnight, but the digital show one is great, too, and all others❣️ have fun!

Dimash, THE greatest vocalist of ALL time. You’ve heard nothing yet! He sings in 13 languages (this was the first time he sang in Japanese) (he sings lots in English) and he sings in all genres. He and Lara Fabian are close, she was Dimash’s idol when he was a child and he has learnt a lot from how she delivers her songs. His dream came true when he got to sing with her on the occasion of Russian composer Igor Krutoy’s 65th birthday in 2019. The song was called Ti Amo Cosi (in Italian). It can be found on Dimash’s channel, it was a trio with Dimash, Lara and Aida Garifullina (Russian Soprano). Igor Krutoy worked with Lara a lot before his retirement, but when he heard Dimash sing in 2018, he came out of retirement to compose some songs for Dimash, which are all incredible masterpieces. Dimash won’t sign a contract with the West because he doesn’t want anyone controlling what he sings which is anything from Opera to Rock, to Folk, to Pop, to Jazz, to Rap. In fact he can sing anything technically perfect, with his range of 7.2 octaves. Dimash doesn’t do covers much these days apart from those he’s already well known for singing since he has people queuing up to compose for him and he is also a master composer in his own right. Whenever he does a cover, he always does it better than the original which is why a couple of famous singers have banned him from ever singing their songs again! He has recently been working on a project with 16 times grammy award winner, David Foster, in LA - we don’t know what it is yet. Dimash is also a multi instrumentalist, he plays 7 instruments. He was 29 on 24th May 2023, and he gets bettet and better every year, even though he was a perfect singer when he came on to the world stage in 2017 at the age of 22. Dimash is also extremely humble and he hasn’t let his fantastic success change him. He has 160 fan clubs around the world and his solo concerts usually comprise of audiences of around 40,000. Deeee Mosh Koo die Ber Gen can capture the emotion of every song, keep you on the edge of your seat as one is amazed at his range, breath control, dynamics, and texture. He seems to always push the limits and he is full of surprises. His fans are Dears numbering in the millions from some 150 countries. His artistic performances are only exceeded by his innate humbleness. A true gift to humanity. I call him the soul menderer in that he reaches into your soul, touches it, massages it, and transforms allowing healing those old wounds. Start with SOS 2017 China Singer series where his notoriety all began.
