@@derpidius6306 Nope, I still only ever get that even with Karlach in my group. I think it might have to do with approvals? I usually save the Goblin camp until the end of my Act 1 runs, because it just feels like a good bookend, so my approvals with everyone are always pretty high. I'm guessing the difference is that Laezel likes the group with higher approval, so instead of coldly using Wyll for a hookup and sending him packing, she'll be more respectful to his wishes for genuine romance and just leave it be when he just wants to talk.

@@TiniStar It's only Lae'zel/Astarion or Lae'zel/Wyll who will sleep with each other, and only in act 1. If you reject everyone, you won't see it, as Lae'zel will only suggest she's going to one of them if you "promise your body" to someone else at the Tiefling/Goblin party--I assume they don't want to have Lae'zel ending up "stealing" the person the player might have been aiming for, so unless you settle on someone and promise to spend the night with them ahead of speaking to her, she won't say it.

@@silverblade357ik it’s been 2 years & maybe u know by now but canonically astarion and all cazador’s spawn were forced to seduce people and bring them home to cazador. astarion was essentially cazador’s sex slave, and it’s implied cazador abused him personally. astarion says he’s had sex thousands of times and got good at it out of necessity but often didn’t enjoy it. if you romance him he sleeps with you to manipulate you and then admits that sex feels wrong to him after so many years of being sexually abused, and he wants to take things slow. if you pressure him into more sex right away he breaks up with you and leaves. so that’s the astarion sex lore breakdown lol

"A distracted study." Poor Lae Lae. Wyll wasn't whisking her away to plow first chance after that "carnal pleasure" conversation like we thought he would. Did the deed, but seemed distracted. Not surprising Astarion is on his best behavior at his first chance at a normal, Cazador-free lay in 200 years, but while Laezel goes to Wyll expecting him to clearly want to throw down, it's clear to her that his mind was clearly elsewhere, either on someone or something else. Could be Mizoran shenanigans, but judging based off of his and Shadowheart's party interactions later on throughout the game, especially after she makes it clear she won't play second fiddle to Laezel, there's a very interesting dynamic there as well. 👀Hopefully Wyll will get a chance to clear things up in the future, or maybe even make up for lost time. The way they play off of each other is too fun to pass up. Wyll is the perfect foil to her initially abrasive, cold-blooded attitude, while simultaneously being the only one who physically surpasses her other than Karlach.

I see so many small interactions missing in the full release. There is no auntie ethel comment is it normal for old ladies to vanish, a lengthier conversation about using tadpoles when you meet the dying true soul, how he berates you for your mistakes if you tell Nettie about the tadpole and then you have to kill her... Tons of stuff either missing or which I can't trigger now. The "big" camp scenes are there, but the smaller ones are missing. I think some tslk about Cazador in camp is missing.

I’ve been creeping around YT watching Astarion vids for about a week now, and opinion on him seems to be divided between fans who love him, and people who call him a knife-ear (or other, less benign slurs) and talk about wanting to kill him. This second set of people are clearly insane, and should be avoided at all costs. As far as I’m concerned, this game is called Baldur's Gate 3: Astarion And Some Other People. I never thought about a kind of companionship where other characters intend to bang each other casually instead of waiting for you the player to make the first move, and the fact that they all are in danger with the worm in their head, it makes sense that they aren't looking for long term relationships, at least in act one. My only gripe is the fact that they IMMEDIATELY start flirting with each other right after they meet. Astarion apparently flirts with the player right after he was about to kill them. So hopefully, they either tone down the sex talks in further updates or at least make the dialogue seem less clunky. I for one am very excited for this game to come out completed, im aching for a new experience.

I had a Qunari Quizzy and I did not have Dorian and Bull together in my party very often if at all and they never hooked up, but with another character I did have them and they did seem to hook up or at least start flirting after the ball.

But also I think that there might be more to his not so great performance than just restraining difficulties. Cazador was very controlling of his spawns. “Thou shalt obey me in all things. Thou shalt not leave my side unless directed. Thou shalt know that thou art _mine_” Now, can you believe that Cazador would let Astarion out to have fun when he is not busy torturing him? I can see Astarion and all other spawns just standing in Cazador’s lair along the walls, striped of their clothes to show his poems carved into their skin. Pieces of his art, put on display like open books or painting in a museum. Maybe Cazador is resting at the moment - it doesn't mean they can move. If they dare to, he'll flay them. Again. Sure, Astarion’s job was to seduce people and lure them onto Cazador’s table. But I don't believe Cazador would allow Astarion to lay more than a finger on his future dinner, not to mention uhh bodily fluids exchange. With all that in mind… I think there is a possibility that a night with MC is a first consensual sex Astarion had in 200 years. So some difficulties are to be expected :D Now if that’s true then MC is a ridiculously special snowflake ahah. They are Astarion’s first taste of sentient beings blood and his first good bang in 200 years. That’s a lot of weight to carry! I’m actually relieved that Lae’zel can share this burden with MC lmao. (in moments like this I hate that I can’t express myself in English as fluently as in Russian T_T but I hope I at least come close to making my point clear)

@bad dreams I'm expecting his ending to involve an option between remaining a vampire spawn, becoming a full vampire, and maybe even replacing Cazador as the new Patriarch of the Baldur's Gate vampires. I'd imagine his happiest ending would be travelling arond as a spawn (meaning no consequence feedings), and Patriarch being his Evil Ending.
