Laegendary RC 1/8 Nitro RTR Brushless SCT - Unboxing & Overview

I have been wondering about this 1/8 SCT for some time now, as it is Laegendary's most Expensive RC they sell on Amazon. Unfortunately I have been holding off for exactly that reason. But recently I found a used one on eBay for about half price and instantly bought it. Is it worth the full price? Is it even worth half price? Lets take a look at what you get for $350.

Quite popular here in Europe and it's much cheaper around 200 USD. There are two versions of this truck. Trophy truck with suspension like Traxxas UDR called FTX Torro, VRX Octane Blast, Reely Eraser ( I've got that one it has alloy chassis plate stock). And chassis like yours in FTX Zorro, VRX Cobra Blast. The body is fragile I recommend to strengthen it. The chassis likes to snap. I've got alloy one and carbon one in Reely Bulldog/FTX Outlaw because plastic one in it snapped. Also driveshaft likes to snap.

I new that's what this one was but couldn't remember it the other video when I asked. I wanted to get one but so little out there on it I wasn't sure if I should pull the trigger. I definitely appreciate the review and thoughts coming. The price was what had me hesitant

Bought the same truck “FTX Zorro” brand here in UK for £206. Its a £169 difference from the Arrma Senton v3 3s BLX. Hope I made the right decision🤣

It was listed on eBay specifically. I did a search for laegendary nitro and it was the only used one to pop up. It had some chassis damage where those screws were missing. Seems like a weak point as there isn’t much plastic for them to grab. I’m scared to really bash it hard for that reason

@@413RC Ah I see! Try putting a little mix of super glue and baking soda mixed in the hole then screw the new screws in to help reinforce it might work. I do that sometimes when plastic is stripped out a little and it seems to help. Super glue and baking soda becomes rock hard. Another option that works is jb weld plastic weld sticks that are like a moldable putty that then becomes rock hard. You could full the holes, then rescrew in the screws and it will essentially retap new threads. Honestly just do it at your own risk as I wouldn't want it to mess it up for you lol but just throwing out options that could help 👍

@@philthyco1 Thanks bro! Yeah that little trick of baking soda with super glue becomes INSANLY HARD. I've used it before in alot of applications and works great. Also that jb plastic weld is great. Moldable then turns into hard plastic. Let me know if you ever get to try it and how it works! 👍🍻

Got 3 of them during the prime day for $305 including tax. $120 each then 2 $36.** coupons. Brushless version with 3s battery. Something stripped in the rear a minute or 2 into the 1st pack. Still over 4v per cell barely ran on the street. Not impressed. Any tips?

The rear diff cup on the center diff fell off when I took the whole rear off and the driveshaft. Opened the center diff to find they didn't put a c clip on the outdrive. On acceleration the cup was backing out of the center diff and slipping.

@@413RC yeah i can see why, i have a few Laegendary 12th and 14 scales. like most models of that scale, makers will cheap out on the shocks. Once i throw some oil filled on their smaller scale vehicles, they're right as rain. i'd give a bigger scale Laegendary model a try. How similar is this in parts, to the FTX brushless Zorro?

Too expensive, parts availability in the future is questionable, 3S + 3650 Motor + 60A ESC on 1/8 scale is screaming for a toasty ESC. Don't drive it uphill, LOL.

That sucks😄 FTX version here is 1/10 scale UK and EU comes with etronix 3665 motor + 80A esc “rebranded surpass hobby”. You can get them anywhere from £206 to £259 the most expensive I’ve seen.

its a cheap Chinese brand that's also related to another cheap chinese brand called Hosim and they actually many of the same parts and all their cars aren't the same hobby grade like Traxxas or Arrma due to them only available online as well as all their parts are limited to online and even still they aren't designed to be module like a Traxxas or Arrma is cuz the motors typically don't have adjustable motor mounts to fit different size motor or adjust location of the motor when you change gears
