Lafayette High School - Southern Dawn - Showcase 2011

The Mighty Lions take first place, extending their string to 9 years.
They took this show to the 2011 BOA Grand Nationals. They tied for 1st place music effect, won visual effect and general effect. And are now the 2011 Class AAA National Champion. And 11th overall in the nation. Congratz my wonderful peeps!!!

I was raised in Morgan City, so imagine my delight to see you @ Grand Nationals. My grandson's band Jenison HSMB is the Michigan Grand Champion Band for 2011. Their show is Tempest's Fury. I was most impressed with Southern Dawn and The Woodlands' Uninvited. I feel like these were the top shows. Jenison really deserved to be in the top 12, but played right after the three big Oklahoma bands, which kind of sealed their fate. I recognized To Kill a Mockingbird immediately. I got chills. Memorable!
