LAFD & El Segundo Fire Dept.: Auto Fire

Los Angeles Fire Department Engine 95 knocks down an auto fire on the WB 105 Fwy. at the Nash St. off ramp, with water supply from El Segundo Fire Department Engine 32.
Units assigned: LFD Engine 51 (canceled), Engine 95, ELS Engine 31 (canceled), Engine 32, LAWA Police, & El Segundo Police.
Location: El Segundo, CA

What I like most is the hose is readied by one FF while another gets his gear set, no wasted time. Usually, you see one guy drag the hose, it gets water and then he has to gear up . The other way more efficient.

But what I have seen in US fire video's is that everyone wants to be in the action, cluttering the incident scene and not looking after their own safety , or commanders not looking after the safety of their crew.

I was actually pleasantly surprised that the on the hose used his SCBA. He will probably be told off since LAFD by default doesnt us SCBA ;-)

E95 needed a water supply, there are no hydrants on freeways or off-ramps. not sure why they didn't call E51 back but El Segundo's assistance was utilized once capt saw them pulling up.

It's liquid fuel fire, water just displaces it, made it worse as it just spread the fire around the under carriage of the car and to the rear, they needed foam from the very beginning, it's why the fire kept re-igniting. CO2 could have worked as well.
