Sublime Italian Engineering. Ferrari, the only surviving company in the italian industrial system which survived decades long thoughtout dismantling. I am sure that not even such technological marvel will suffice to wipe out ignorant stereotypes against italy.

That mule car shown at the end is a Ferrari 458 Italia, grey with a few race cosmetics, with 789 hp.

kW is not a measure of energy, it's a measure of power. Per example if you take a 1uF plates capacitor with 1Volt at it's terminals, and you short-circuit it with a large section copper wire, the currents will tend to be infinit thus gaving a power of MegaWatts BUT for much less than a nanoSecond, which translates to very little energy. So this MegaWatt capacitor couldn't even power a LED much less your handphone. Same applies here, the batteries must high power output but for long periods!

I agree that the name doesn't make much sense when looking toward the future. But perhaps this is supposed to be in line with the last one being called the Enzo or something.

do you know the weight of the batteries on the P1 and the 918? this battery looks smaller and lighter than both
@ShadowFalcon11 жыл бұрын
Simples. Just like in endurance racing you want to stay away from fuel stops as long as possible. If the car is more efficient you can drive longer and faster on a tank of fuel. In the case of Le Mans fewer fuel stops means more racing and therefore more excitement.

Yes , you are . Ferraries are made in EU which has strict laws on emissions , and these laws are becoming stricter every few years . They must do it to stay in business . Cars when tested in labs for determination of fuel efficiency must perform well on pre-defined cycle . McLaren did this with small turbo V8 . So , for green parties of EU this car is greenest Ferrari ever made , for rest of the world it is the fastest .

136 kg & 61 kg. Damn, those things are heavy. If I own the company, I would command the engineers to increase the power of the engine to 900 hp and don't use kers lol

but it will only remain THE ferrari until it's successor it's released (1st problem) fans already calls the F40 THE ferrari (2nd problem) it's tributing the company itself which i find very egoistic ("i've made a tribute for myself dedicated to how good i am")

Politicians of northern countries blame the PIIGS for the economic crisis. the northern countries lie in between the US, China and the PIIGS in the chain of debt. The problem is never of the private sector, the problem lies with the webs of public, or semi-private chains that are fed by governments of all developed countries. The world needs a change of "livery". People can't resist resorting to nepotism, everyone does it. All are to blame but the poor are to suffer, as they can't buy this car.

I wonder how much the batteries alone cost. You know, the batteries themselves don't last for years. They are not as durable as other parts. They become weaker and weaker in years until they can't hold electricity anymore, just like the batteries in our electronic appliances. But, never mind, there's still a 800 hp engine lol

how the fuck is reducing fuel consumption an aim?? its a nearly 1000HP car, your not worried about fuel consumption
@LP640Murcielago11 жыл бұрын
agreed, but your not on a race track your in a road car. your not racing with your foot down for an entire tank of fuel.... if you were then I would hope the roads were closed because I know of no where on earth where you could race on the road for hundreds of km's and not nearly kill someone. talking of fuel consumption in a supercar is like talking to a tribesman about your laptop. no point at all
