www.c64audio.com/ - buy the music used in this video from that awesome site! Lots of other great music there too and DRM free music.
Well, I figured I might as well do a C64 one as well :)
I'm not 100% satisfied with this one though.. it's not as good as the Amiga one. The reason is that I made this one just after finishing the Amiga one and I was a little burnt out I guess.. got very sick of making this one almost right away.
It's stilld decent though so I hope some people can enjoy it at least :)
The soundtrack consists of these three songs, all by Instant Remedy -
Flimbo's Quest
Commando
Game On (Issue 0989)

I wanted to thank you. I got into commodore 17 years ago thanks to this video and have owned my computer for a few years now. It was thanks to this video that I experienced the best decision which was to focus on getting a C64. I was still going to school at the time I was 13-14 years old I could not afford to buy a machine. In 2020 I finally bought ^^ I hope it's a good feeling to know that thanks to you there is one more c64 fan :D much cheers

Reading some of these comments really puts the whole argument that the overall gameplay of a game was what made these games so memorable and addictive. Being an 80's teen, I so enjoyed my game playing childhood. Even the music from the sid chip was so inspiring. With Martin Galway and others making these games so playable, just so I could hear the music again and again. Wizball. Haha, I didn't mind dying in that game, purely for the guitar riff. Awesome.

@ 4:19 I totally remember that game. Donald Duck did odd challenges to earn money to build a playground for his nephews! Oh wow, that was so long ago when floppy disks were actually floppy! Also the game @ 9:08 the last boss always scared me as a kid. You had to wait for the lightning to fire an arrow at him but if you wait too long he gets too close and you're history. Thanks so much for the nostalgia!

The C64 and Amiga (and PCs of the time) had so much artistry in their games, almost pantomime like. Rare to find games with such panache nowadays, they're all so serious and risk free. LucasArts come back!

It's the reason why I perfer the C64 and the Amiga at the time compared to consoles, we saw a lot of games that just didn't happen on consoles, it's also great that you could do other things that are not gaming related on them, hence why I'm a PC gamer today, always like being able to do more then just game on them and having a bigger selection of games to choose from that are so diffrent.

I had an Atari 400. Atari people liked to think that there was a rivalry between Atari and Commodore, but this demonstrates that the C64 was on a higher level entirely. It was closer to an NES than any early Atari... Also noticed the nudity in Stormlord (#63). I played it a lot on Genesis (cleaned up version)...

@necrogenesis1981 The C64 was developed to be an arcade engine. But the project was abandoned at a late stage and the result of the work got hastely re-routed into becoming the successor of the VIC20. The longevity of the lifespan of the C64 saw programmers eventually using every trick in the book, and then some, to try and compete with the 16-bits. So although you'll never see exact 16-bit standards on the C64, it's certainly very easy to see their influence in many later games.

Really enjoyed this thx. There was a game I was looking for tho, all I can remember of it was the games population were little hats with feet, and there was a virus or something spreading over the US and your task was to somehow top this taking over. You travelled from city to city looking for clues and stuff. Can't for the life of me remember the name, and I'm not sure if its was on C64 or Amiga. Pretty sure it was C64.

My favourite Commodore 64 games were Motor Mania, Krystals Of Zong, Booty, Beamrider and many others. They were the good old days, but the tape games took ages to load, didn't they. Fantastic memories seeing those games again.

I never had one of these systems, but I'm fascinated by them. The music in alot of C64 games is awesome, and the graphics can be pretty impressive. Some games look ancient, but some are pretty stylish. Makes me wonder what some tech-geeks could pump out on it graphically now.

So many great games! I think, if I had to pick one, it would be Last Ninja II. Or Super Pipeline II, Or Creatures. Or Skate or Die. Or Bubble Bobble. Or Hypersports...Dammit, there are so many!

Soon... soon I'll get my joysticks by mail :) I've bought C64 thinking that probably all C64 games are like in Spectrum "Sinclair, Kempston, Keyboard" :D Now I can only play few cool games for keyboard. But it's sound capabilities are impressive! It's the reason why I've bought it. Actually I've didn't suspected how cool are C64 games. Some of them for sure!

I had fun guessing some of these. I LOVED the C64 as a kid! It was the first computer our family got & my brother & I & cousins & friends used to have the best fun playing it and of course copying 'deskettes' from our buddies & buying 1 sided disks & cutting out another hole to make them double sided. :P I still play the old games now and then :)
