This whisky to drink in these 1740’s rainy nights in London, while you’re waiting for your guest from Paris to arrive.. you’re crossing your legs on a leather sofa reading under a lamp, one of Durant, Toynbee or Bertrand Russell’s books in a dim room listening to Palestrina as a background music .. and there from a distance you’re smelling your porterhouse on the fire getting cooked for dinner with your creme brûlée.. Had the 2021 version tonight - I get classic Lagavulin 16 but slightly more smoke and then rounder and certainly more dark fruits and sweeter - was offered as a replacement for 16 and definitely not disappointed

Yeah, it's like a Laga 16 on steroids, more pronounced flavours.
