LAGOS - CALABAR COASTAL HIGHWAY PROJECT - NEW UPDATE

This is the new update on the 700-kilometer Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project . The starting point is at Eleko, in Ibeju-Lekki local Government of Lagos State Nigeria
There is an ongoing dialog between the Lagos state commissioner for physical planning and urban development to explore alternative solutions over plans to demolish some properties to make way for the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway.
In a discussion regarding a proposed demolition to pave the way for the coastal highway project, Lagos government argued that some of these properties are situated within the specified right-of-way for the initial phase of the 700-kilometer Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project.
Some stakeholders pointed out that some of the properties marked for demolition are used for businesses that “have invested substantial sums, taken commercial risks and succeeded, contributing to the city,
However in view of this, Fair and just compensation for owners, whether businesses, urban or rural communities along the entire right of way must go along with compulsory acquisitions of property, including undeveloped land, if such acquisitions ultimately prove to be inevitable.

This is clear misinformation. What this fellow is showing is not the Lagos Calabar coastal road. Presently, the only concrete-laid section of Lagos Calabar road is in Victoria Island. It is not this.
