Lagos State Government has removed some street gates, security posts and fences of houses constructed on drainages and canals in the Okota area of the state.
Officers of the State environmental sanitation corps are asking residents to be wary of buying unauthorised property.

You can't build in Lagos without obtaining necessary documents but most people build beyond approved structure.

The gvt are not doing much , there is no stipulated water ways mapped outby gvt or created , after filling swamps and build houses it becomes canals. Lgs gvt has no plan at all
