From what brief dips i did into the fandom, it always felt like all the horrible stuff that irks me out in the furry fandom at large, but kind of distilled. Not that it's actually much more prevalent, even though it feels like it because the community is smaller. But i also just felt like most of the horrible people there are just all the horrible all at once. TLK also taught me to use the blacklist function on all our favourite boru based blue image board. Don't _ever_ search for any of the female characters without a sound proof blacklist.

While it is very illegal (the reason being that DMCA paperwork is a legal document, as such lying on one is effectively perjury in the country where KZbin is hosted, the US, perjury being a federal crime there), unfortunately KZbin’s handling of DMCA is… ahem… sub-optimal. There are little-to-no protections afforded against you should you receive a takedown notice, and should you choose to counter it, this requires either legal protections on your behalf to be in place first, else a psychopath like Simba can (and will) receive your dox as a relatively necessary part of the legal process. Afaik (as someone wanting to get into KZbin stuffs myself), there are small steps you can take to protect yourself, such as having a legal address that is NEVER your home address (this kind of should go without saying, but unfortunately once the DMCA is filed, you can’t really change this for obvious reasons), at least not for this particular strike, but more innocent folks might not be cognisant of this, and definitely won’t be until after it’s already too late. Unfortunately, in this case, the friendly bunny here is fucked either way, but the very least that one can do is first and foremost, have a non-residential legal address on file. I believe a PO Box would work fine for this. Dunno about names, that might just have to be a thing, but I’m sure a lawyer would be able to help you with this, should you require one. In any case, if the friendly bunny is reading this, should you choose to take this further, first kindly point out to simba that what he is doing is illegal, and considering he already has a warrant for his arrest in one country, the last thing he wants is for that number to be two. Also do not be afraid to ask a copyright lawyer about this. I don’t think the EFF would be a terrible place to start, although there are possibly better sources I’m not thinking of. In any case, I wish you luck, and I hope you are able to take measures to remove simba’s power over both yourself, and anyone else.

Where those who are labeled “low functioning” often tend to face heavy stereotypes, scrutiny, stigma, and infantilization. Guess what. We know if you actually listen to autistic people based on how you talk about us. I just finished watching that clip and wow. Now I admit I am extremely privileged so I never had any worries about being autistic, and the only time someone tried to bully me to my face gave up almost immediately since I just agreed with them due to low self esteem and apathy. I would never ever think of doing all the horrid stuff Sinbad and his cult posse did and do, then use my autism as a shield. It’s gross, and I despise when I see anyone uses their disability as a shield. When I look back at my childhood, I see a person plagued with anxiety disorder struggling to get past the mental stunting their disability caused them. It really feels like I was dumb as a rock as a kid based on how I am now that I’ve gotten older, but even dumb as a rock kid me would never blame my disability or others for something stupid I did myself. Just an absolute shame people that do exist in the world, doing bad things.

This is actually part of Simba's method of extortion where he puts you in a position of trust to make you feel important, when actually it's all part of the grift. You were never a "real" admin unless you were complicit in Simba's dirty work. It's important to not only call out Simba's behavior, but also his methods, so it's less effective when he tries it again. Because he's been trying it for years, and is successful enough to get money off it.

Fantastic video! Even to someone outside the furry fandom, this was a fascinating insight into a small pocket of the internet. I don't think it's just a furry problem - this kind of abuse can happen in any place where people who feel different and lonely gather. In such insular communities, the younger or more vulnerable people are easily taken advantaged of, indoctronated and abused by those who are older and hold more power. Because the victims usually heavily rely on those communities for support and are manipulated, harassed and even blackmailed, they often don't come forward with the info - sometimes they don't even realize it's wrong until much later. These kinds of videos are needed to show people like Simba that they can't just harass and threaten people into silence, the truth is out. I actually have a lot of respect for furries and the weird and wonderful space they've carved out for themselves. Yes, most of the things you hear about furries outside the community are the abhorrent things, and I have no doubt there are inherent problems with some of the cons, Discord servers etc that need to be addressed. But as a whole, considering the incessant hate furries have to face, they seem like a great group of people. I mean, I hear about p-words in Minecraft and Roblox communities basically daily at this point, yet no one is going to say that those games or their players are inherently bad.

I found furry valley before I knew how bad it was. After being active in the community for a bit, I was actually recommended as an admin. While the batch of admins I was in was being trained and all that, we learned that part of our requirements as an admin was to have names on things like telegram sent to us in order for us to try to get them to join the community. How were these names gotten? Bots searching furry groups. I wanted to hang out with some people, don't remember what is was we were doing, but I made a group so that we could get back together easier. No I'll intent, not trying to take members from the group. It was just so we could get together easier. That got me banned. Oh, and Simba wanted furry valley to be the first thing people see when they look into furrys, kids included So yes, furry valley is all about control. Step a toe out of line, you're banned

Did not know how bad the Furry Valley community was until I saw this video. Even though I used the server somewhat often I never knew much about Simba other then that he was known for ASMR streams and that everyone had to obey to him when ever he was in vc, other then that it just felt like a normal server. Though I do have to admit that his ASMR content was kind of weird in my opinion but as long as it didn't hurt anyone else I didn't mind. Decided to do a ban speed run by asking an admin in vc about whether or not they have "seen the new LagoVirt video". Was called gay and banned immediately. I'm proud to be on the ban list!

I remember a loong time ago before I knew of all of this I applied to join as a moderator and was getting training and all. They wanted me to start posting like 5 to 10 images onto their telegram channels a day and wanted my twitter account to pretty much always interact and retweet their main account's posts. They had a different team for everything, social media being one and a large one which is part of what I joined. It was so long back I don't remember all of the details, but they certainly made sure to point out people having an issue with the community "Because some people out there don't like others having fun" Eventually I lost the position cause I slacked hard on them and didn't give a shit but I remember them asking me why my account wasn't interacting and reposting their shit like I was apparently supposed to. Also remember them discussing running their own con, imagine why that never got fulfilled.

I used to be in that server and I'm honestly glad that I left when I did. When I first joined that server, everything seemed normal enough for a server that big but I wasn't really active in the server, maybe a couple days total before I met a couple of good people there. I ended up leaving the server since I wasn't active and it was just sitting there in my server list but it wasn't until a couple months after that I started hearing about the accusations against Simba, which grew worse over time and now I'm surprised that the server's still up, let alone Simba still being on the platfrom

I'd just out with it and say what to do to make sure the discord is shut down and he's super inconvenienced but if I do then he'll fix what I see as his weak spot and I don't want to do that. back in 2020, a friend came across furry valley on runescape, and i was interested in joining, and one of their members (also a runescape moderator), invited me to their discord and i looked around, seemed like a good community (at least from what i was told), and the person who invited me told me about how furry valley started on runescape and eventually expanded beyond it... but.. From the point i joined.. till i left the discord, i had over 20 people from there, over the course of time(2 or 3 weeks i was in there for), dm me.. usually in attempt to rp/erp.. (cuz i did the fursona info thing in 1 of their channel chats). One of them was their higher ranks or admins (idr), but they were just chatting, seeing how i was doing and if i liked their discord/community, and after seemed flirty for a few days, but after i mentioned i was trans/female, they completely stopped talking to me lol. Eventually i left the discord cuz of the randoms dming me + the constant pings that kept happening. Eventually, another clan I guest in that had previous furry valley users in it.. started telling me messed up stories about FV. Kinda glad I didnt bother staying in there. Also during that time, a few members of FV did find my twitter account and followed me, but immediantly after I left the discord, they unfollowed lol.
