god, im not even in the furry fandom anymore but watching these videos on current furry drama rlly makes me glad i got out of there. it was always bad but if a fandom has big creators getting exposed for liking animals/ kids a bit too much almost weekly (even daily at times) then there is probably an issue (most of my current friends are furries, i was invested in the fandom from 9-12, you cant blame me for being curious about what is going on)

You're living in delusion land if you think even your best friend 100% likes every element about you, your character, or your nature. Secondly, they were more majorly positive towards him than almost anyone I've heard of. Kiwifarms is a pretty negative place, but they seemed to genuinely like the person. Lastly, I'm not actually convinced they "harass" or "threaten" anyone. From what I know of the farms, they typically keep to their own little pocket unless its something extreme like animal abusers. Meaning you have to seek them out to read your thread. Its pretty frowned upon to directly interact or harass the "lolcows", as even the owner says. Now, are there some people that surely cross that line? Yeah, but that happens anyways no matter what you do. For instance, everytime a channel makes a video on another channel calling them on something, or talking negatively about them, there's going to be 1 person that goes and leaves a negative comment. Even if expressly told not to. Afraid that's just the nature of the internet and being in the more public spaces. You can't always control the actions of complete strangers. Its not right, but its also true. So I'm kinda just not convinced there's an organized campaign of harassment towards anyone from a site that tries its best to discourage that. Now, if you can provide me with evidence of kiwifarms members actually organizing a harassment campaign either on the thread, or anywhere else, I'd be happy to take a look. Otherwise, any claim made without evidence sadly will be dismissed without evidence. People saying mean things about you in a isolated part of the internet, isn't harassment. Nor is them documenting stuff that is public. Nor is any of that 'threats'. Those are some hefty claims, and require evidence for them. As far as I'm aware, Kiwifarms did NOT harass Near, they liked him. And he had willingly sought them out and had mostly positive interactions with them. So again if you've got any evidence they harassed him, or threatened him, I'd be happy to review it and change my stance accordingly. But I haven't seen evidence of that, in fact, I actually rarely see evidence of most of the stuff people claim about them. So at this point I default to the person making the claim having to prove it.
