After having completed a red eye flight from Seattle to Atlanta (previous video), I now take you from Atlanta to LaGuardia aboard an A321. In this video, I explain in full detail the Park Visual Approach to runway 31 during daylight conditions!

Always enjoy the NYC landmarks, many of which I grew up in. I only used Delta’s Atlanta Sky Club once - without status or payment - because they canceled my connection to SWF, and the next one was seven hours later. So I told a customer rep that they had caused a huge delay for me, and that I was a heart patient who wasn’t feeling well (all true, btw). To their credit, they were concerned and escorted me to the lounge, and even pointed out a quiet space where I could have some peace and maybe even nap.

Another awesome video!! When...if all goes well...I fly into NYC in June, I'll remember the many videos I've watched showing scenes of the city. 🙂 That was a really, really nice note to you from Delta. 😍 My last round trip flight was with Delta. After arriving at my destination and when approaching the front of the A220, I saw a pilot and a flight attendant (probably the lead), and I remarked that this was my first time flying on this plane, and he said here's the Captain. So I stepped out of the line and chatted a couple minutes with the Captain, mainly about the weird sounds the engines make! Then I had to go, as people were waiting to pick me up at the airport...but it was so cool! Just regret not asking if I could take a photo of the flight deck, because all I got was a partial, slightly crooked photo I'd snapped when boarding the plane. Oh...well.... 😄

@@PeterMasella ... can't from Seattle (Sea-Tac)...at least not non stop. Have to fly to JFK. But at least I've landed and taken off from LaGuardia A LOT virtually! 😀 (Someday when I have more time than I do now, though, it would be fun to do what you did--fly to Atlanta then LaGuardia...just not this year.)

Another great video footage from one of my fav airports, ATL. Fascinating place.. The jet Bridge part cracked me up.. Im assuming that you live in NYC vicinity.. there is a channel i follow on KZbin, "tomdnyc". He provides pretty obscure information and about the whole area. I think you might like the channel. I am looking forward to my flight ✈️ later this month from ROC/CLT/FLL. And I picked the seat (window of course) for ultimate views. The flight patterns look like we will fly right past the space coast, pretty excited to see this. I visited that place when I was young, and absolutely loved it!

Hey Peter. as a lifetime Long Islander and native New Yorker I always appreciate your La Guardia content and just always wonder one thing about your videos. How do you match up the air traffic controller audio with your flight footage? Im assuming its not perfect but accurate?
@PeterMasella

I match it up by trying to line up turns with instructions from ATC and when pilots report where they are.

Excuse me for enjoying the mental gymnastics too much. You said that wind was forecast to be about 010. Did you derive that estimate from a TAF/METAR or from a current ATIS? If it was from a TAF/METAR, the wind forecast is true not magnetic and the 12 deg westerly variation must be added. This was a non-issue on this flight but if wind were 040 or 310, this could affect how the traffic flow is decided.
