I’ve met SO MANY Gen Z’s who are adults who have never went to a high school party, who never had Friday night bonfires and meets ups with their friends, who have only sat around with friends and made Snapchat’s, Tik toks and taken photos talking about how much fun they’re having and how “wild and crazy” their night is when all they’re actually doing is sitting in silence while each person is on their phone, pretending to others that they’re having a good time. Or worse, they didn’t even go that minimum distance and only “hung” out with people by talking ONLINE and didn’t even ever actually hang out IN PERSON. Like there’s tons of Gen Zs who aren’t even driving by 20, let alone during high school. They don’t like to go to bars because “they’re anxious” and “feel awkward”, they don’t like to go to get togethers with groups of people or parties for the same reason, they’ve never been to a concert, gone on an spontaneous adventure with friends.. they don’t do anything social and never really have. Like imagine going all through high school and never going to a high school party, which they couldn’t of even if they wanted too bc no one in their high school ever threw any parties, let alone parties every weekend like most of us did as millennials and even the older generations.. even damn boomers went and had parties in high school. Like what is it with Gen Z never doing ANYTHING social other than online stuff??? Like most of them talk about how they didn’t even ever HAVE a friend group in high school or in adulthood, and that they don’t even have any current friends other than online friends. Like I’m not trying to be mean but y’all’s high school experience sounds SO lame and boring. And even your adult social lives are boring asf and lame bc either you never go do anything or hang out with people OR you do and just sit on the phone the entire time trying to make it look like they’re having fun and getting wild and crazy lmao. Watching this show again it’s a complete different story from what I remember: Lauren needed a real friend to tell her to stop letting Stephen play her, Kristen was nagging 24/7 (but I was a teenager too, I was also self absorbed lol), Stephen was the WORST.. he played 2 girls against each other and was careless of their feelings, Jessica is the next worst one after Stephen, Alex is a hard 3rd place after Jessica. Dieter was so nice, Trey was such a cool guy in the best way possible, Talan wanted to have his cake and eat it too but he was not even close to be as bad as Stephen, I almost forgot Awful Jason.. He and Stephen can share that #1 spot.

Alex was a bitch. She REALLY did not like Jessica and it didn't have anything to do with the Jason situation, it was because Jessica was considered to be 'poor' by Laguna standards and 'not good enough' to hang around with the likes of Alex because she didn't have the money/status in the area that the likes of Alex's parents did. The Jason situation was just an excuse to attack and try to convince others to totally blacklist Jessica from their social circles. Thing is, Alex/Jason hooked up one time and that was it. She DESPERATELY wanted to be in a relationship with Jason but he was not interested in her and went back to Jessica again and she was PISSED. Good news is though, their lives are TOTALLY different. Jessica is happily married with four kids whilst Alex, who wanted to be a 'pop star' is doing gigs in local dive bars whilst hooking up with different men every weekend. So in the end, Jessica won.
