Great review Chris. I got mine for $11.99 a six and you CANNOT beat that price point. I loved this beer. Sugary toasted brush. A pineapple tree bearing fruits of other tropical fruits and some dank herb. I think the lagunitas yeast played a huge part. Their IPA is great and it would appear they amped the shit out of it with some alternate hop strains. Great vid man, could not agree with you more.

Thanks Chris! I found my treasures yesterday and enjoyed one with you today. I think last years was a touch better but this is still awesome, awesome stuff!!! The first place I called (Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido) got it last week and sold out quick...my heart sank with the thought that I had missed this years Waldos!!!! Thankfully my backup place had 3 cases left with no limit! I got 2! On top of that, I will finally get to try some NE IPA's with 2 boxes of Trillium, Magnify and Other Half arriving tomorrow! (I am out of cold storage and using an old kegerator to handle this recent boon!) Damn this Waldo's is good...even better as it warms a bit!!! Life is Good. We are soooo Lucky!

Holy shit Chris!!! If you can get your hands on the Magnify "Hype Train" single hopped with Citra and conditioned on "copious" amounts of Mangoes and Passion Fruit...UN-Fucking-Believable!!!!! I have had (from Trillium) a Launch Beer, and DDH Summer Street with Simcoe both were very good...but the Peak of Ripeness with Nelson, the Break the Bank Colab with Barrier and the Hype Train Citra on mangoes and passion fruit by Magnify out of New Jersey are the absolute best I have ever had....I could not have imagined it was even possible to brew beer this amazing. CrAzY!!!!!!!

I'd love to know how the hell Lagunitas makes such good beer for the price, if Stone sold a beer like this it would easily cost 85 to 100 dollars a case in western Pennsylvania. maybe more

I agree across the board with you on this one. I actually saved a 2016 and had them side by side. Needless to say, the 2016 was all malty sweetness. Drink this one fresh as you would most IPAs.

The 2015 & 2016 versions were some of my favorite beers of all time. (On tap at least.) In fact, it's the beer that really got me into craft. I had a 2017 bottle last week and it seemed overly sweet and less dank than previous years. But I've got 5 more bottles to go through to see if that opinion changes.

Oh wait, I just remembered something that could be the difference... mine is bottled in Petaluma, CA. I assume yours may be from Chicago? There was a definite difference in Born Yesterday between the two locations.

Don't get me wrong, great beer great price but I also find Stone to be very affordable. I get their 12 mix packs for $20 here in San Francisco and that usually has 2-3 double IPA/imperial red IPA out of the 4 selections in the pack. I always think that's hard to beat. I'm drinking this guy right now though :-)
