I have a mix I want to upload and did the exact same thing miscounted and my snares were clashing but I just fixed it as best as I could on the fly and just played it out I’m scared to upload it. Lol. Cause I don’t fix things post mix when I record it live I put it up mistakes and all.

Love this set. I like how you can just feel the realness. Some of it is not so clean but you can tell this is a DJ just going on the fly and playing tracks that he’s feeling at that moment. That’s what being a DJ is all about. Play what you feel at that moment while catching the vibe of the crowd. Not some predetermined shit with cue points and sync buttons. Real DJ’s “L’s” up. Luke is quickly becoming one of my favorite DJ’s of all time. Much respect!

it was obvious he already sorted wich tracks he plays, u can see when he picks his next track that they are in ordor, but the mix is defently "on the fly" also u cant really blame him for organising this set, when he has to play the big tracks from 2017 in 1 hour

This started off with a few rough patches, but you recovered HARD. and i could just see that you zoned yourself into the little world we like to go into when preforming. Insane, I’m always impressed! He doesn’t just mix but throws his style on it too which is so tough to do on the fly. That’s a ton of songs, rare to find too many DJ’s that can do this as successfully.

Why is songs per hour considered a good metric of the quality of the mix? Some of the best trance mixes I've seen had only 9 or 10 songs in an hour. All depends on the use of the tracks IMO

Rock Fox I agree, I bought a trance compilation by Gary D in the early 2000's. He upped the bpm and played each song for less than 45 seconds just so he could put "over 80 slammin trance tracks on two CDs" on the album cover. It was awful. I never listened to the second disc.

Kyubey I really think the Traktor Kontrol S2 is good for beginners. But also look at some other Controllers like one with Serato or something, they make very nice ones too. There are so many possibilities, just look arround a bit and you'll find something that is good for you ;D

Kyubey what i did, i beginned with a Pioneer DDJ SB2, maybe you can begin its like 250 euros and after 1,5 my father bought the Pioneer XDJ RX2 for me what is about 1700 euro.
